The batteries alone are $69 so for $10 I'll get my wife a cordless jig for her shop. We are committed to this ryobi one+ line. Many tools at our house use these batteries.

It isn't an impact wrench, it is used after the bolt or nut is loosened a little, then it will spin the nut or bolt off the rest of the way. Especially if there is a long bolt or taking a nut off a long bolt, it comes in very handy, especially if the bolt or nut is in a tight place. Also, this tool works well to put the bolt or nut back on again. This is an awesome tool when used the way it was designed for.

I honestly can't think of a use for it, unless yes, you've already used a wrench to either loosen a nut or use a wrench to tighten it down. If you're gonna do that anyway, pretty much no point to this ratchet.
I have a Milwaukee 3/8 speed ratchet and I break small bolts loose with it all the time. Especially changing breaks. That being said, I don't know how much abuse the ryobi can take.

Trust me, not much. It's like a kid's toy. That's why it's going back.

PLEASE DO NOT GET THE RATCHET.

What a piece of junk. You shouldn't be able to pull the trigger with one hand while simultaneously being able to prevent the ratchet from spinning with the other. My 8 year old daughter has more Torque with her left hand than this. I bought this a week and a half ago and it's going back.
I love mine. Maybe you got a bad one? Plenty of torque.

How good is the multi tool?
I got it for a kitchen renovation and it's been great. The blades it comes with are awful, fyi. I got a Diablo drywall blade and it's been wonderful. I got new regular blade from Harbor freight and it has cut through 2x4s, nails, moulding, and flooring without any issues. I got it on the same deal back in April or May. I haven't used any other brand and always wondered what the tool was used for, if that gives an idea of my experience with it. Ive been doing home renovations for over 10 years and never knew I needed this tool until I got it.

Idk. There were a lot of reviews that said the same thing. Maybe you got the exception to the rule and lucked out.

Don't think this guy knows what rachet is used for. It's not impact wrench. Check all other brands. They all have similar 35-40ft/lb.

Could any woodworkers here advise me on this? I'm buying my first walnut slab and I don't have a solid way of flattening it. If I build I jig for this would that give me a solid flat surface? Or should I just build router flattening sled? I figured the planer would give a better finish but I honestly have no idea.
I would go with the router. The planer is too small to get it flat. The planer would be Ok to knock down the high spots, but if you use the router to get it flat might as well do the whole process with the router.

Is there any hack by returning the tool and keep the batteries?
Because I have enough tools and I need more batteries.
