It's so hard to get bikes up to the roof and have to remember when entering garages that you can't if you have a bike on it...else, oh oh.

Otherwise, it is a good price for a name brand.

Unfortunately been there (driving into garage) and done that. Now I always place the trash can in the middle of the garage before I shut it so that I remember when returning home. In my case it only cost me a new seat post....

Yes, I lift my full suspension mountain bike up to the roof rack a couple times a week. It's tough getting it on top of an SUV, but on a car, it's no problem (for me at least).

Hitch-mount or bust for this and many other reasons (e.g. easy of load/unload, mileage, noise)

this is the worse way to carry a bike... the best way is put it inside the car, the 2nd best is hitch carrier in the back
