I think Oppenheimer 4K Blu Ray is more-or-less guaranteed to be a doorbuster type deal somewhere on Black Friday. If you've waited until now, wait another few weeks and you'll get it for $5-10.
I'm a fan of nearly everything Christopher Nolan made prior to this, especially The Prestige and The Dark Knight trilogy. But this movie was way overrated. It's far from his best work. Plus, it contains pointless and gratuitous material that simply didn't belong at all, which really disappointed me as Nolan usually keeps things rather clean. I appreciate the technical mastery on show through the use of IMAX film cameras, and Hoyte van Hoytema's cinematography, but otherwise this is one of Nolan's weakest films.

Considering digital has only dropped to $10 at the lowest, getting the 4K disc with digital included at this price is an absolute no-brainer. Disc also includes different aspect ratios to digital, IIRC.
Beautiful movie and incredible score soundtrack. Thanks OP.

I remember when movies didn't have to insert unnecessary sex scenes. Now they have to insert WAYYYY over the top scenes. They could just show a scene with someone sharing a kiss; nope, they have to show everything now. I guess that's what happens when you have perverts similar to Harvey Weinstein in the industry. Oppenheimer went that route. It seemed so out of place for the film.

I'd say if you already waited this long, why not just wait until next month and get it for $10 on a Black Friday sale.

So good, imo DV would not have added much benefit if at all over this.
Upon saying that, there is no AQ upgrade, the same great soundtrack is found on the BR version and that PQ transfer is very good also.
With a good upscaling player/display, that difference isn't huge imo.
For me, I'll grab this whenever it gets to $8 or lower just for the PQ transfer.
No way would I pay more for half a transfer!

More like an undergraduate piece of work that got bankrolled or rickrolled.
