Fyi - tape is a bit thin and narrow for heavy duty. Good for small packages but not moving boxes if you know what I mean.

Than what is "good" for moving boxes?

My nephew sells a lot of ebay stuff. He advises AGAINST a good strong tape for shipping, he says a strong can be pulled apart without ripping. And packages won't always show if they have been opened.

Used this tape for a move (heavy'ish boxes full of books) and the tape held up.. the boxes fell apart due to the weight though. I was surprised but happy!

My original reason for buying this tape was for shipping ebay stuff, and one issue as that the tape can basically turn to plastic if pulled too tightly -- it still needs to be cut, but if someone wanted to mess up a package with this stuff, they might be able to.

I think that the bigger problem with this tape is OVERPROTECTING an item. I feel some people want to make sure stuff is covered in tape, and in the process of undoing it, it can easily destroy the item inside. The tape doesn't really tear, it stretches (and when stretched too much, turns to basically a plastic wire). You pretty much need scissors/knife/boxcutter to open and remove it

I am not sure if I'm missing something, but there are other alternatives that come with a dispenser for the same price

This is probably the cheapest I've paid -- Amazon says I've ordered this 12 times, and most of the orders are around ~$14.

One thing about tape: Tape isn't Tape, each brand or type can be pretty different.. if you ever use the cheap dollar-store type of stuff, it's definitely nowhere near as good as this. Some of the ones with dispensors also have a lower amount (so instead of 54.6 yards, it might be 14 or 20 yards).

YMMV, I've bought a bunch of different types over the year, these ones were always good and I stuck with them. I'm sure there are other comparable or better or cheaper brands, but I know these are solid at least

This is NOT a deal. They have been selling around this price on regular basis. In fact I bought the same 6 packs (but 105 yards) for $23 two months ago and that was regular price with no sale. This is all Amazon and their shading tactic. Slapping giant red "PRIME DAY" text on products with little to no discount at all from regular selling price.

It's also a huge waste.
All the product could have been placed in a single roll.

That makes no sense, if he's so paranoid with the cheaters he needs a new job, I sell on Amazon and it's easier to be dishonest there as a buyer than on ebay

I use no brand tapes 2MIL thick 2" x 110 yds. Also made in China, but double in size for $50 a case of 36 rolls.

The yardage for roll is low, making this not such a great deal. I purchased the Amazon basics for my e-commerce packages. The rolls are 109 yd each and you can sometimes get a decent discount on them, making the cost per yard significantly less than these smaller six packs.

This is what I use as well. Tape in retail stores have spools that are only half filled (55 yards) or even less. Where do you usually buy your case of tape from?

I'd also like to know.

Keepa disagrees with you. The last time it was this price, or below, was Nov 23, 2023.
It averages $16.48 to 16.63 for all other dates. In the future, please check your facts.
