Waiting for G8 to hit $500 hundred again (currently $529.99 w EDU). Fingers crossed for BF.
I have the g7 monitor here and absolutely love it. I had previously looked into the g8 but the scan line issues made me ultimately choose this monitor and I'm glad I went that way. I don't think you would be either unless your really running games above 165fps on doom or something.
I logged in via web on desktop to Samsung.com with my EPP account. FWIW, logging in today the price now shows as $400 even though yesterday it showed $300.01 and my order was placed for $300.01 (see image with this post). There was no additional or stacked discount as far as I could tell. I did use $7.20 in rewards points though but that was applied to the $300.01 price.
Interestingly (read mildly concerning) my ship date which was Nov 7 changed to "Est. delivery: There has been an unexpected delay, we will update the new delivery date at the earliest". See attached image. I wonder if they will honor the order at this point or if the price was some kind of mistake and they are pulling some shenanigans with the order. Especially since it seems like no one else had the same experience.

Thanks for responding and uploading a screenshot.
I already bought a 32'' inch dell but would have bought this monitor if I could have gotten it for $300.
The November ship date is concerning though.

This pairs perfectly with my PS5 and It has been amazing! Never used it with a PC though.
I use a Samsung 34" G8 OLED ultrawide as my PC gaming monitor and the picture quality is very close!
$300 is a no Brainer.
