This laptop has a great OLED 3K screen with 500 Nits of brightness and a very modern AMD Ryzen 9 AI CPU which should perform well for those running AI tasks locally. 24GB of fast 7500Gbps soldered RAM should be enough for future needs and the speed of the RAM will help the AI and graphics performance. It has a nice build quality, good keyboard (no numpad) and very good touchpad and will last around 12 hours on battery.
Asus decided to provide a lower wattage to the CPU resulting in the AMD 880M iGPU on this machine not performing as well as it could. The laptop has limited ports including one HDMI port, two USB-C 4 - 40GPS (PD/DP) ports and one USB-A port. Headphones and SD reader also included.
It looks like you're still paying a bit of a premium for the Ryzen 9 AI chip here. Similar laptops with the Intel core Ultra 7 155H CPU can be found for slick deals in the $700-$900 range with similar screens and battery life, but better graphics and Thunderbolt 4 ports.
Unless you have a real desire to go with AMD over Intel, I would look for a cheaper laptop with an Intel Core Ultra CPU. We are also just over a month out from Black Friday when we should see some excellent deals on the Core Ultra and Ryzen 9 AI laptops.
