OB-Good still available in my area. I've gotten perfect laptops sold as "Good" so this could be a good deal, but reviews are 3.9 which is worrisome, plus...I really dislike white laptops and white keyboards.

Too heavy for 2025

Passsssss
Find me a 16" laptop that weighs less than 3.3 lbs. Only the Lg gram 16" weighs less, but it is magnesium alloy, which feels extremely plasticky and cheap, with tons of flex. This feels much more premium. Also, that's the non-touchscreen version. The LG Gram 16" touchscreen weighs almost the same (3.26 lbs) as this.

There are 14" inch laptops that weigh more than this.

If you want something that is really light, don't bother opening a post that says 16".

Beware that multiple reviewers have found this laptop to get very hot to the touch, even while just browsing the web.

Got this the other month for$850 ish excellent. Basically ran hot, asus choked it 5 watts with update and is fine. There's a "my Asus' button in the top right you click and update when you get it. That fixes that heat issue in my experience. Additionally, i swapped a 990 pro 4tb in after cloning. Got blue screen but fixed that with bios update from their website site. Didn't have to make disc, they have update bios in Windows options. So if you're comfortable with doing those two things , okay with not necessarily "plug and play" status..it's a great laptop, battery lasts 12 to 15 media consumption, good speakers and screen and feels very highquality. Asus has this rep of high quality products and not standing by their warranty so with the offset cost i got a2 year best buy one.

I have the same one - got it for $790 Open Box - Fair. It was completely brand new.
Never got hot for casual MS Office use, browsing, YT / Netflix, etc. Battery is crazy good, I get at least 14+ hrs of use.

I didn't get it to game - I have a desktop for that. But just to see what it can do, I installed Just Case 4 (yes, an older title) and it ran surprisingly well. Cyberpunk was oughkay at min settings and did better than I expected but my expectations were low anyway. And yes with the power connected during CP2077 - it started getting warm but I don't game on my lap tho
- and you shouldn't either if you're a guy and want kids someday

It's NOT a gaming laptop no matter how you look at it. But if you want two full work days of use on battery - it will do that. I'm happy I can go to a coffee shop and not have to carry the power plug. I would buy it again in a heart beat, especially for anything less than $850.

Yes it feels cheap... But speaking as a travel consultant that travels a lot, they live up to their military grade toughness.

I have owned 4 going back to 2013 (I get to expense a new laptop every 2 years).

LG also has a right to repair philosophy and you can buy spare parts off of Alibaba very cheap.

I once had water spilled on a gram, I was able to buy a replacement keyboard from Alibaba for $30 and swap it myself, there was no glue inside the case, that laptop lasted 6 more years even as a hand-me-down to my high school aged niece.

I don't game on my gram but have never really had any heat issues.

I did own a Asus zen book in 2012 the case used to flex so much when I typed on my lap the track pad wouldn't work ...

I had a gram. Hinge cracked in less than 3 years with no drops. This is Zenbook S not Zenbook. This is about as premium as it gets. It's also extremely thin.
