Open box good is 879, excellent is 920.
Previously the lowest price for open box excellent was 822. I would wait for that to come back.
I bought the excellent at 822 that shipped yesterday. One of the best productivity laptops I've used with 9 hours of battery life weighing in at 3.3lbs.Based off benchmark reviews "The Ryzen AI 9 365 overall performed similar to the Ryzen 7 7840HS but at 52% the power! Or was about 31% faster than the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H while at 64% the power use."
The only thing is that from what I heard from other threads was that the warranty does not transfer over if you get an open box. Also the idle efficiency on these are not the best. Laptop drained from 40% to 27% in 12 hours of idle??

I suspect that the poor idle efficiency is due to "Connected Standby". Every couple of seconds, the laptop wakes up to connect to the internet and update stuff even when it's supposed to be sleeping. If you turn off network connectivity while sleeping, it usually dramatically improves battery life while idle: https://www.elevenforum.com/t/ena...s-11.3286/

Thank you! This is crazy helpful. Never really considered this might be the issue. I'm going to do a few more tests and see if it impacts before I adjust modern standby. Assuming the WakeOnLan won't be working if I turn it off. Not an issue though, battery life is more important than the rare occasion I use that feature.
I read some reviews that this laptops oled screen has the screen door effect? Can anyone tell me if this is true or not?
I think it depends on the individual. For the most part, the SDE has been most described on OLED screens that are 1200p (FHD+) or less (usually touchscreens). However, there are quite a lot of people who don't see it on these screens. I personally have seen it on a FHD+ oled touchscreen. With this being a 3k screen, you shouldn't notice it but it depends on the individual. I personally did not see it on the 14" 3k oled touchscreen. I am sure anyone looking hard enough for anything will find it even if it's not there. It's best if you are really worried about it to go see it at a best buy for yourself.

No idea what they are talking about. The screen is gorgeous.
Just a fair warning on open box on this model. It seems there may be some quality control issues. I originally got an open box from Best Buy that was in great condition. After using it for a while I realized the Wi-Fi wouldn't hold a connection to my 5Ghz WiFi router. Also one of the usb C ports was super finicky and would often drop whatever was plugged in there frequently.
I absolutely love the laptop, so I returned the open box and got a brand new one. No issues with this one and it really is the perfect windows development laptop for me.
I do application programming for macOS and windows, so I have a MacBook Pro (M1) as well. Obviously the MacBook is great but there are a few things I like better on this Asus that surprised me. I love the screen and the giant trackpad. Battery life and performance are actually pretty close between the two.
Yeah I'm at Best Buy right now checking it out. It doesn't have the screen door effect that I can notice. I pulled up YouTube and compared to the laptops next to it (zenbook oled ) it looks just as gorgeous as all the high end oled touch screen laptops
