Get back to me when it's not a touch screen deal.
Sure, then I'll also send you a car with physical keys instead of a start/stop button 😒

What does it matter? Disable the touch screen if it in some way bothers you.

Picked up an open-box Excellent (local pickup @ $870.99), but having had such bad luck lately, I'm expecting it to be either a floor demo model or something other than "Excellent" (missing charger). Now that BB changed the guidelines on what "Excellent" is, my confidence is low. Fortunately, returning is easy.

Been looking for a 16" Zenbook deal. Tempted to pull the trigger but the reported heat issues are concerning.

There aren't many laptops with 3 USB-C ports...MacBook Pro, and what else? Some have 2 USB-C and a USB-A, but I don't see many with 3 USB-C.

I've had this notebook in the past. Reports of heat issues were early on when it was first released and for the most part, drivers and BIOS updates remedied that. I did not have any issues with it running hot when I had it, but I suppose if you're gaming on it, that may be different, but for normal productivity/media/etc., it's fine. This is a stunning laptop in both looks and the display.

looks like a decent laptop specs wise.
but for that price I'd highly recommend the Yoga 9i (?) model.

the build quality is apple like (I hate to say that)

Looks like a mac, wish there were other color options. 870 open box xlnt 30 min drive. Specs look good except no dedicated gpu. Integrated R880m igpu is meh.

If it had a real gpu, I'd probably be in the car right now to go get it. If you don't care much about gaming and want a fast and light laptop, I'm a big fan of the Zenbooks. My current one is5+ years old and still kicking, so light it's a joy to travel with.

It's thinner than a MacBook Pro, more like an Air. There is no way to deal with the heat of a discrete GPU in such a thin design.

Yeah I use two external travel monitors that each need usb c ports. I've been limited to using MacBook or a Lenovo p1 which has a square power plug which leaves the two usb c ports free for the monitors.Asus ProArt also has proprietary power adapter + two usb c ports.

This one because no numpad and AMD more efficient. But if 8 more GB is important, then you have no choice but get the Vivobook.

I think Zenbooks has a better screen.

Costco has 32GB Vivobook 14 for the similar price. If 14 inch is the preferred one
