If all somebody wants to fly is domestic travel in economy, probably on Delta, you sure aren't getting more value than this sale... Even most intl economy routes will barely get you more.
Also worth pointing out that this sale values your points at 1.07 to 1.25 c/pt.
I don't disagree, but also, all of the higher value redemptions have a significant knowledge requirement and/or a significant time/flexibility requirement in booking international business class flights either at 355 days out or 14 days out.

I know😊, there is a different world of points redemption game but it's not for me right now. I have been waiting to cash out so this fits my need. Even if one person makes use of this is enough for me. 👍

You get four Amex points per dollar spent on groceries and dining.
Spend $ 25,000, get 100,000 points. This gets you two $ 500 gift cards, with points left over in the current sale. Usually, 100,000 points won't get you $ 1000 in gift certificates. I think you'd need closer to 120,000 points. This deal saved me about $ 240.
On newly released products, the series 10 is full price minus maybe $ 10 off.

2 % cash back credit card.
$ 25,000 in groceries and dining gets you $ 500 cash back. That's half the value of the Amex deal.
When people mock the Amex point recovery at a value such as a point being worth only a penny, and not even cash back, they forget you get 4 points for every dollar spent.
Airline miles.
I just used over 120,000 Delta points for main cabin economy from Ohio to Vegas. Used to be 40,000 RT to Hawaii for those miles. No way am I wasting Amex points on Delta miles.

Redeeming Delta miles sucks. AA miles are a great deal IMHO. I use 1/3 or less the number of AA miles to fly compared to what Delta requires.
