I have successfully redeemed this offer by buying $400 worth of gift card at my local Trader Joe's.
Nothing on my account.

Yet, I know that if I get a physical gift card (ex. Amazon) at my local Kroger and check-out, I don't see how there is any way for AMEX to see that it was a "Gift Card purchase". AMEX is only going to see my total charged at Kroger - they don't see down to the individual items I purchase.

Does anyone else have some data-points on this to verify? I'm going to try it later this weekend or early next week - so I'll report back then my own experience but figured I'd ask for now.

BTW, another Data Point - this was only on 1 (Amex Everyday Silver card) out of 5 different flavors of AMEX I currently hold btwn me and family.

Is it one time use? I need to spend $200 in one transaction or I can do two $100 transaction and still get $20 back?

Typically these Amex supermarket offers allow you to use the card multiple times until the cashback limit is reached

I was pleasantly surprised this was on my Hilton Honors Amex Card because these type of offers rarely are.

I'd be very interested to see if you are successful. This would be a great way to get a 10% rebate on some Google Play cards for my YTTV subscription.

Thanks for confirming but I thought the max rebate amount was $20. Were you able to get $40 or did you use 2 different Amex cards?
