Enrollment is limited. Eligible Card Members must first add offer to Card and then use same Card for qualifying spend. Only US-issued American Express Cards are eligible.
Limit of $20 in total statement credits per eligible Card Member. If the Card Account is canceled or past due, it may not qualify to receive the statement credits.
Qualifying Purchases
Offer valid for in-store and online eligible purchases at U.S. Supermarkets. An "eligible purchase" means a purchase made with your enrolled Card at a U.S. supermarket location by 12/31/2024. "Supermarket" means a standalone merchant in the U.S. primarily selling supermarket products. Excludes gasoline purchases and gift card purchases. Specialty Food Stores, Superstores, Convenience Stores, Small Corner Grocery Stores, and Warehouse Clubs are not considered Supermarket stores. Yet, I know that if I get a physical gift card (ex. Amazon) at my local Kroger and check-out, I don't see how there is any way for AMEX to see that it was a "Gift Card purchase". AMEX is only going to see my total charged at Kroger - they don't see down to the individual items I purchase.
Does anyone else have some data-points on this to verify? I'm going to try it later this weekend or early next week - so I'll report back then my own experience but figured I'd ask for now.
BTW, another Data Point - this was only on 1 (Amex Everyday Silver card) out of 5 different flavors of AMEX I currently hold btwn me and family.

I'd be very interested to see if you are successful. This would be a great way to get a 10% rebate on some Google Play cards for my YTTV subscription.
