I have successfully redeemed this offer by buying $400 worth of gift card at my local Trader Joe's.
Nothing on my account.
I feel like eligible cards are always random....

So, it says that Gift Card purchases...

Yet, I know that if I get a physical gift card (ex. Amazon) at my local Kroger and check-out, I don't see how there is any way for AMEX to see that it was a "Gift Card purchase". AMEX is only going to see my total charged at Kroger - they don't see down to the individual items I purchase.

Does anyone else have some data-points on this to verify? I'm going to try it later this weekend or early next week - so I'll report back then my own experience but figured I'd ask for now.

BTW, another Data Point - this was only on 1 (Amex Everyday Silver card) out of 5 different flavors of AMEX I currently hold btwn me and family.
They can't. I've done it numerous times with other cards or to meet a spending limit for a new card bonus. Never had a problem. They can't see the physical receipt.

They need to bring back the clear/translucent blue cash cards.

They sent me a solid blue card that's boring like all my other blue credit cards

I dont know for amex but I did use discover to purchase 1500 worth of GC from walmart during last quarter. To ensure complexity I added one banana to each 200 dollar GC and checked out self. Each transaction appeared in statement as a physical swipe on a machine(not online) and I received the cash back

What qualifies as supermarket?
Google suggests Costco is a supermarket, but it is also a warehouse which doesn't qualify for this promo.

Is target, Aldi, Walmart, whole foods, trader joes considered supermarket?
Can I buy Amazon gift card at Whole foods to use this offer?

Aldi, Whole Foods and Trader joes are supermarkets. Yes, any gift cards.

Yes but the new category maxes out at 100 offers, even though there might be more "hidden". The only way to gain access to "hidden" offers is to add them to the card. Sucks because then you have a ton of bullshit offers. If you have a second card on the account, since offers are more or less shared between cards, you can add them on another card just to get rid of the clutter.

If yall get the CardPointers app (App Store & Google Play) you can add every offer any of your credit cards offer, automatically. I paid for the lifetime membership for the app. Trust me, its worth it. Esp on Citi Cards because its a PITA adding all the offers yourself. You can search for companies and businesses, and often times I get cashback not even knowing the offer was added. The downside to using the app however, is that fact that you may not know what has been added. Also, the categories doesnt always work well for example if you are looking for a restaurant offer, you might have to search by restaurant name instead of just the word restaurant.
