I have used the TU Quattro pattern bone China. That is nice and holds up well. These are labeled ceramic and would not expect the same quality.

I have the soft square set that I purchased during Black Friday years back. I haven't chipped any, just dropped one bowl on the tile and the tile won :/

39-42$ is the usual price point for this set, so its not really a steal. I have owned this for almost 18 months and have them for everyday usage.
Pro: Price point for the number of items it has.
Con: They are very brittle and get chipped for the slightest of mishandling. i have few chipped within few months of usage.

Buyer beware! I purchased these using this deal and went to pick them up at my local Macy's. More than 50% of the dishes were broken or chipped. I immediately got a refund. The reviews said they are likely to chip or break - I believe them. I wish it truly was a good deal.
