It's not the adapter. It's your car. It powers the usb port even when the car is off.

I went through 3 to 4 of these within a few years, kept dying. A lot of people have issues with it dying within a few months to a year

Remember your car needs to have android auto for this to work. All this does is allow you to do it wirelessly. If your car is not prepped for Android Auto, you need a more expensive retrofit.

This only works on cars with Android Auto WIRED. Won't work if it's not Android Auto "ready". I've had this and it kept disconnecting from time to time, works well when it does. With that said, there's better brands that I havent had any issues with d/c or connection issues (CarlinKit and AAWireless)
No shit sherlock. LMAO.
Imagine trying to buy a charger for a phone but you don't have a phone to charge.

Anyone having issues with their MA1 dying should try baking it. Not kidding. Remove the plastic housing, remove the two heat shields on either side of the circuit board and bake the board for 10 minutes at 400.

Brought mine back after I thought it was bricked.

Got this about a year ago and had to return. It connected once and then didn't connect again without me having to do a hard reset of the unit each time. Maybe I got a bad unit.

Hopefully, motorola comes out with a new version that can sense when you turn off your car so that it doesn't keep the dongle powered on for hours.
Moto unfortunately didn't make it, just using the Moto branding.
The 2 of mine ended up being so touchy that I just put em in a drawer.
There's NO way to adjust settings (No settings) and NO way to update the firmware.

Save your $$ and buy an AA wireless

I paid 64.61 for mine and worth every penny. I have a cheaper model in my wifes car that was $50, but not as good. Have to literally pull over and shut off the car to get it to work right. but it does switch between android and apple and gotta turn off bluetooth to have the other person connect in car if you have different OS.... yeah, not a concern here w/ this android only product. great product, really good price if you are Adroid...

I don't recommend it. I purchased it a couple of months ago and returned it after 2 days. Continuous disconnection and very annoying. Got 1 from Ali Express for $20. Works like a charm. I've been using it for 2 months now.

I've been using one in my Hyundai Palisade for 2 years now with multiple Samsung S22's and it works perfectly.

I triesd one of these a couple years back and had nothing but problems. it would connect and be fine and then 10 minutes later it would stop working and the only solution I found was to completely forget the connection in my phone and redo it. even setting the phone next to the device on the dash wouldnstill have it lose connection. just a mess of a device. returned it and just opted to plug my phone in. recently AAwireless opened orders for their AA 2 so I have one on the way.
