In Bay Area Costco and National (and some random off brand places) are like $0.50 cheaper than any of these brands anyways.

How on earth did this get FP? Upside is typically 15-20c. If you have a "One" account you regularly get 20c, right now for the last few months it has been over 30c/gal cb. I got 44c at circle k yesterday... I do gig work and put 50k miles/yr on my car. Gas is a huge expense and so far, One bank has been by far the best. https://imgur.com/a/k8IzNYO

BP 100% meets and exceeds Top Tier standards. They were the first to even have additive standards, eventually joined Top Tier, then left likely not worth it to them to pay the fee. BP may be the only company with Top Tier standards that are not part of Top Tier.
This is the real answer. Remember you have to pay to be in the club. BP been advertising their detergent in gas forever. I use BP 90% of the time for my gas. Never had an issue with cars, lawnmowers etc.

I put the cheapest gas like Murphy, race Trac, wawa, sams club etc into Tacoma, never changed the fuel pump or cleaned the injectors. I changed the fuel filter at 250k miles but never had any issues with it. Sold it with 405k on the clock.

True I've found BP had to be the best VFM for my Infiniti compared to Shell/Exxon.

Any way to combine this with Harris Teeter fuel rewards at BP?

Agreed. I only get gas at stations that meet the Top Tier Standards (Mobil, Costco, Marathon, Meijer, Shell, ETC) after reading about the importance of it in Consumer Reports. It rarely costs more. Top Tier gas should not be confused with higher octane "premium" which is a waste of money.

Premium is not a waste of money. My 911 only gets top tier premium. This is still more expensive than Costco with the 10 cents though.

You can stack with Upside. At least with the normal Earnify app. I just signed up for it last week, and also did Upside on top of it, and they both earned. I am now, however, sure if this app with the Amazon Login will be any different than the normal Earnify (which I am able to login with no issues). I am also receiving the same error everyone else is at the moment.

At $3/gallon you're considerably better off to use a card that gives 5% cash back on fuel. 15c vs 10c basically.
Does this not stack with a cash back on fuel? I regularly use my Costco card for 4% back on gas purchases ($0.12/gallon at $3/gallon).
This might actually be worth it for me (if they stack), since Wisconsin has a state law prohibiting selling gas below a specified markup. So all of the gas stations are the same price, whether it's BP, Costco, or Joe's Shitty Gas & Repair.

Higher octane premium is a waste of money if your car doesn't require it. Some cars do require it. Check your owner's manual.

honestly I just buy from costco and sams club, costco is top tier, and often cheapest, sams club is just regular fuel, but doesn't matter. my car has 220k and doesn't seem to miss a beat. once a year I drop a tank of seafoam in it to make me feel better about myself.

but fact is, car just runs fine on any all gas.
