This lens works for both crop sensor like A6700 and full frame like A7IV. Unless you have both APS-C and full frame camera or about to switch to full frame, otherwise usually people would want lighter/smaller (and likely cost less) APS-C lens for there lighter APS-C camera.

You probably haven't done any research of Tamron Lens Codes?
Di III usually mean Sony E-mount Lens developed for Full Frame camera
and Di III-A stands for lens developed for APS-C sensors.

All the lens mentions are Di III and none of those is Di III-A. So all are developed for Full Frame Lens which can be also be used with APS-C camera if you want.

I have the 28-200 Tamron and I love it. Very good lens.
