The battery hack is back but now includes the M18 8.0 Forge battery instead of the 5.0.
This makes the compressor $222 and the battery $127. Return one, keep both, etc.

I can confirm this deal is still active 11/22/2024 at store #2203 (N. Overland Park, KS).
I finally bought one and after stacking the deal with a 10% coupon from the store card, the final value was $200.03.

The price online for this store location is still $379, but the hardware shelf location and end cap both list as $349.

You might only be joking and I'm not an expert but I believe there is a risk of water spray using a condenser without some kind of water trap. So not good for electronics.

I bought on of their leaf blowers to replace mine. Dust doesn't stand a chance.

Since you're in a M18 thread, I have this one and recommend it
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CC5M9GXC
It doesn't have the same pop of air that you get from a compressor and blowgun at 90+psi that can dislodge stubborn gunk, but it throws a lot of air with a decent amount of pressure. It's perfect for electronics dusting, cleaning filters, and actually inflating low-pressure inflatables. It's loud, but it sure beats waiting for an air compressor to pump a tank up to a useable pressure.
I didn't want a device with its own lithium pack that can't (easily) be replaced and that I have to keep charged. These no-name electronics always use ghetto lithium cells/packs that start to lose capacity after a few dozen cycles, unlike the high-quality cells used in most big-name battery tools.

how about the opposite - can those chinese crafts kill your expensive batteries? I need exactly that regular duty blower for a variety of use cases around the house.

These portable compressors are great. I use it to blow saw dust off tools out in the field, air up dollies, wheel barrows, etc. Recently had to unclog an AC drain line—used a rubber plug, drilled a hole in it, and used a blow gun to blast the blockage. I think I got my Ryobi 1 gal compressor as a factory blem from a previous DTO deal. The 1 gal serves me well, but if you are exclusively in M18, this is the way to go.

Not the person you asked, but I've been using Datavac for years.

How do you protect electronics from moisture in the air?
