Made me appreciate the Unifi stuff, for all it's (mainly pricing) flaws..
I kind of miss feeling like a Ubermensch with the zillion parts in the network stack/home-lab, but it's good to have a simple white box instead..

Fan boys love this stuff! Not for your average household at all, as even the $15-20 Triband Linksys router when it comes to pure routing will be just as good if not better....

But for the use-cases if things work, it's great to have multiple options other than Unifi.. Unifi itself has come a long way, especially for the Router/Gateway and finally this year a very viable all-in-one system. Having all unifi switches/APs and having to have a different gateway like PfSense or EdgeRouter etc. was quite a pain.
Everyone who wants to know more should follow Tom @ lawrencesystems, great guy and resource.. I think they always used to use Unifi for everything but the gateway.. i think they're now open to using the gateway now (?) ,
