Best way to optimize:
- Buy two $300 gift cards in separate transactions.
- Use them on any normal purchases where your best cashback credit card doesn't have a great bonus. As an example, if you use it on a transaction where you would only get 1% cash back, using the gift card gets you an extra 5.67%cb. If you use it on an Amazon purchase where your amazon card gets you 5%, that's only an extra 1.67%cb.

In the past was able to purchase amex travel checks and then deposit them right away in the bank.

And did this last year - will NEVER get AE cards again - WAY TOO HARD to use.
My homeowner's insurance (also auto), if you have a credit balance for more than a week they automatically send you a check. So, just make a payment and get your money back. I did that with the previous AE "pay your insurance bill get $XX" offer a few months ago.
I'll sit on it for a couple days. I appreciate all the feedback from the community!

I have not been able to get it toy paypal, it's a nightmare right now I have 2, $300 cards even amazon locked my accounts as they thoitgh it was a fraud, they are nor accepted pretty much anywhere online like I have tried to purchase southwest balance, bjs balance multiple platforms anything but everything keeps rejecting the payment 🥲
Well, they have changed something, and these cards TRUELY do NOT WORK ANYWHERE!
I have no idea what a use case would be for these, other than cutting lines of coke, but that is ONLY if you get the physical card.
I called the number on the back of my digital GC (888-205-8622) and went to the option to report fraud (and saying I did not have my card #) , and finally got a human.
After some polite but firm back and forth, they were able to refund the purchase by sending me a check in the mail. Make sure you use the fraud option because all other options will take you to them reading the FAQ's back to you. Make sure you also mention that it is NOT a rewards card and that you are the OG purchaser. Otherwise, they will refuse doing a refund since they think it will go back to the business who purchased it.
So to whomever this matters, I can no longer endorse these Amex GC deals , and will no longer be posting them in the future.
Better than free purchase fee when getting the physical card.
That said I think I'm sitting this one out, as other have said these have gotten harder to spend online so I can't imagine getting the eGC, and for getting the physical I'm not sure the savings are worth the hassle and locked up $$$.
Also, I have new credit card . Buying these gift cards count towards minimum spend to get bonus
