Not talking about s90d the 999 price was meant for s90cd but they mistakenly applied to s90d and later they applied to s90cd
Is there a significant difference between the two? I saw the s90cd at Costco and was tempted

I never thought that I would see a 65" Samsung 90/900 series for less than $1,200

Literally the same exact model, just with a "D" to indicate the ones sold at wholesale box stores.

Not at all true. The S90D is a 2024 model and gets much brighter with much more vibrant colors. Look it up. Rtings rated it one of the best oled tv.

Edit: I misread the comment. my apologies.

That is true, but not what they are asking. The s90cd is Costcos store model number for the 90c, with slightly better speakers built in. The s90d is the new 2024 model.

Read about 12 posts up before making the same exact useless comment
How is it useless? It's literally on clearance there now and many stores still have them. I just bought one for my parents

You might've misread the comment I was replying to. This model, the S90C, is the same exact model as the one Costco (and other wholesale stores like Sam's Club) sells, which is the S90CD. The D simply indicates it's sold at these wholesale stores and to differentiate it from the retail stores like Best Buy that also carry the same model.
This is not to be confused with the S90D, which is the current model year that replaced the S90C from 2023. But clearly, the S90C are still stocked and stores are trying to clear out their inventory of the S90C models.
I just purchased the 65" S90C at Best Buy, and unfortunately because Costco's model has the "D" after "S90C," I am not able to price match. But, it is not worth the $300 price difference for me to go through the return process.

Thanks for clarifying. I did not know Costco's S90C model had better speakers.

I did misread. My apologies. I just have read the s90d is a much better tv than the C. Which I am currently looking at purchasing.

Eh, no need to apologize. We are on slickdeals, it happens!
It was a tough decision for me to pick the S90C over the S90D. But for what it's worth, I went with the S90C because I still watch sports OTA so ATSC 3.0 was the deciding factor, and paying $300 less helped too. After having had the S90C set up for over a week now, it is way brighter than I expected, and the color volume is off the charts. I can't imagine how much brighter the S90D and the S95C/D are too.

Sounds like a good purchase. I'm about to pull the trigger soon on one. I really want the 95D but it's way out of my price range.
