Less than $12. It is not 100 points - $1 in Amex rewards. It will be about $8.

5% means 0.05 lets see what calculated from this 150 x 0.05 = ???
If it said "spend $150 or more in a single transaction" then you would have to do it separately but the risk is up to you -- if you can split it then do that just to play it safe otherwise if you have a big purchase to make anyways then go for it
If you're buying regular items then you can always reload your Amazon account GC balance $150 at a time and use that to make the purchase -- if you're buying something that needs CC payment like gift cards then just pay for it directly
