not bad to have 1 or 2 of these on hand in the event of a middle of the night pipe breakage under the sink or the toity

I've used a couple of these over the years to replace old supply valves in bathrooms and kitchens for sinks and toilets with no issues of leaking. Install couldn't be easier either. Agree with the poster above, not a bad idea to have one on-hand for an emergency use case. I'd also add that if you're hesitant to sweat copper, this is a great alternative.

For anyone not wanting to go with a press fitting, several tool companies now make crimping tools for copper piping (I know of Dewalt and Milwaukee off-hand) that you could probably rent as well. That said, I think the convenience and performance of these are pretty solid - at least in my use cases.

yes sir.. maybe its targeted (?) .. the cheapest one i see in buying options is $18. It could also be - that it reflects i have purchased 4 of these in the past, maybe its a limited amount at this price and it recognizes i bought them earlier this year (?)

This thing save me a headache, I have a leak on a traditional lock value. I tried everything cut the pipe, sand the pipe, use Teflon tape. None of them work. I found out this and I just plug it in and done.

These are good fittings for the DIY'er. Some old school folks will complain ("nothin' will ever beat sweatin' copper!!!), but even then, these are easily accessible should one start leaking. It's not like you're putting these inside the wall. I have these push fittings in my house and no problems after almost five years. Just make sure you have a clean and deburred stub out (assuming copper here) before installing.

These are about $9 at Home Depot, so not as big of savings as the $13 that's listed here.

As a non plumber, and home handyman wannabe, how is it that you're using this in a pinch? Any examples with steps in how to solve them with this so I can also keep 1 as a just in case and know what I'm doing when I'm faced with it?

They add up if you're using lots of fittings for a bigger project, so the savings is nice

No one's sweating on angle stops. The industry standard is compression fitted angle stops. Sure these sharbites are OK to use but to me they should only be a temporary solution.

If you mess up the first time installing this and you don't have any clearance from the wall,
