CVS Info:

First of all, you will need a CVS ExtraCare card. This is obtained easily at any store at the register. Some will ask you to fill out the form then and there, others will just give you the card and ask you to return the form later.

Once you have the card, you can now start CVSing

The biggest thing to understand is that CVS uses a promotional program called ExtraCare Bucks (commonly abbreviated as ECBs.) These print out on your receipt immediately once you purchase an item offering them; almost like an instant-rebate you get at the register. You can turn around and use them anytime on almost anything in the store, except for alcohol, cigarettes, and gift cards.

Often, CVS advertises items as Free after ECB For example, throughout the month of November, CVS has Crest Pro Health Whitening Toothpaste in 4.2 oz size, for free after ECB. The cost is $3.49, but you get $3.49 back instantly on your receipt. The best part is that there are often coupons available that can actually help you earn money like for the above toothpaste, there are $1 off coupons available, meaning the item would be $2.49, but you get $3.49 in ECBs back. The limit on this toothpaste for this month is 2. So if you wanted to start off small to get into CVSing, the thing to do would be to buy one toothpaste in the first transaction (and use a coupon if you have one, so that you either pay $3.49 or $2.49 in cash), then use the $3.49 ECBs you get back from that first transaction to pay for the second tube of toothpaste, and again, receive $3.49 more in ECBs.

The trick now is to roll your ECBs so that you rarely pay more than maybe a dollar or two in tax on transactions, instead using your ECBs from previous transactions then earning more to keep doing the same. Its a cycle (and a game/addiction to some, lol.)

Sorry for those with the flu Frown

What exactly IS liquid smoke? We just had some in the cabinet. I looked and it looks kind of like soy sauce?

How can you tell when meatloaf is done? I have it in a loaf pan so I can't really cut into it and see if it's raw in the middle or anything.

You know what I was wondering if it would be good? Taco meatloaf. Have any of you tried it? Is it any good? I was thinking next time of mixing taco mix, cheese, tortilla chips, meat and peppers together.

Meatloaf usually takes about an hour and a half at 350 to cook through. Do you have a meat thermometer? You're looking for 180 in the middle I think.

Yeah, I got the oven on 350 and figure for about 1 1/2 hours of cooking (Thanks to the link you gave me..I had no idea how long to cook it on, lol)....I think I've got a meat thermometer somewhere. I usually only use it on Thanksgiving for the turkey..but since Patrick's been gone for the past two years on Thanksgiving I haven't had to use it. I know it's somewhere though. Thanks Smilie

I refuse to go get tested for the Flu..laugh out loud I'd rather not know wtf I have right now..Nono2

still pretty damn sick...but I can walk and stuff, I think if it was the Flu I'd be in a lot worse shape then I'm in now.

But OMG my eyes are so red and swollen...and they hurt from tearing so much and wiping them..Crying2

I keep heating up a hot cloth in the microwave and putting it on my eyes. And I keep getting a headache..Mad My nose seems a tiny bit better. Ears don't hurt as bad and throat feels better.

I think sleeping with the new humidifier on helped somewhat. We bought a nice one, and I used it on warm mist last night..Dontknow

Roll I just looked up the humidifier reviews and they are horrible on amazon...LMAO

We got it at Lowes because we couldnt find the manual one at costcos or anywhere. I guess the digital sucks..we should get the manual one. Lucky for us Lowes has a 90 day 100% guarantee...we grabbed it because we needed something. I did notice the same thing with the humidity reading not being acurate..mine says 25% all the time, but I am also running an electric heater in the room...so IDK...
We both felt better the morning after using it...no dry throat, nose, lips etc...I'll give it another week or so..and maybe get the manual which has great reviews..Scratchhead

I have made an awesome taco bake casserole thingy...I got it out of a book, but can't find it online..it's easy..( especially if I can make it...LMAO)

It's
1lb of ground beef
1/4 of cup of chopped onion
1/4 cup of chopped pepper
1 envelope of taco seasoning
1/2 cup of water
1 cup of crushed tortilla chips
1 can (16 oz) of refried beans
1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese

toppings: chopped lettuce, and tomatoes, sliced ripe black olives, sour cream, and picante sauce

in skillet, cook beef, onion, and pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink.drain. Stir in taco seasoning and water. Cook and stir for 3 minutes or until thickened; set aside.
Place chips in greased 8-inch square backing dish. In a small bowl stir refried beans;spread over chips. Top with beef mixture and cheese.
Bake uncovered at 375 for 15-20 minutes or until heated. Top with lettuce, tomatoes, and olives. Serve with sour cream and picante sauce.

I can't believed I typed that all...especially for you..EEK!

Well anyways..I use extra chips and about 2lbs of beef and 2 cans of beans and do 2 layers instead of just the one. I find the chips and beans absorb the grease from the beef, so it helps...Dontknow But it's farking good..nod

I am with you. Plus, the way our driveway is out here, it doesn't go up to the house. We have stepping stones up to the house, but you have to go across the yard...and if the ground doesn't dry out, we won't be able to use a farking U-haul. Ranting We won't be able to pull it up.
