CVS Info:

First of all, you will need a CVS ExtraCare card. This is obtained easily at any store at the register. Some will ask you to fill out the form then and there, others will just give you the card and ask you to return the form later.

Once you have the card, you can now start CVSing

The biggest thing to understand is that CVS uses a promotional program called ExtraCare Bucks (commonly abbreviated as ECBs.) These print out on your receipt immediately once you purchase an item offering them; almost like an instant-rebate you get at the register. You can turn around and use them anytime on almost anything in the store, except for alcohol, cigarettes, and gift cards.

Often, CVS advertises items as Free after ECB For example, throughout the month of November, CVS has Crest Pro Health Whitening Toothpaste in 4.2 oz size, for free after ECB. The cost is $3.49, but you get $3.49 back instantly on your receipt. The best part is that there are often coupons available that can actually help you earn money like for the above toothpaste, there are $1 off coupons available, meaning the item would be $2.49, but you get $3.49 in ECBs back. The limit on this toothpaste for this month is 2. So if you wanted to start off small to get into CVSing, the thing to do would be to buy one toothpaste in the first transaction (and use a coupon if you have one, so that you either pay $3.49 or $2.49 in cash), then use the $3.49 ECBs you get back from that first transaction to pay for the second tube of toothpaste, and again, receive $3.49 more in ECBs.

The trick now is to roll your ECBs so that you rarely pay more than maybe a dollar or two in tax on transactions, instead using your ECBs from previous transactions then earning more to keep doing the same. Its a cycle (and a game/addiction to some, lol.)

I was going to have the last bit of wine tonight, but since it's still snowing and the kids may be home tomorrow, maybe I should save it.

Me too! But alway make mine with ham and I'm not buying a whole ham just for that. T wrinkles up his face at the suggestion of navy bean and ham soup so I can't make that. For four more weeks. Roll

Today at work was sucktastic. I am so ready to move.

I have made an awesome taco bake casserole thingy...I got it out of a book, but can't find it online..it's easy..( especially if I can make it...LMAO)

It's
1lb of ground beef
1/4 of cup of chopped onion
1/4 cup of chopped pepper
1 envelope of taco seasoning
1/2 cup of water
1 cup of crushed tortilla chips
1 can (16 oz) of refried beans
1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese

toppings: chopped lettuce, and tomatoes, sliced ripe black olives, sour cream, and picante sauce

in skillet, cook beef, onion, and pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink.drain. Stir in taco seasoning and water. Cook and stir for 3 minutes or until thickened; set aside.
Place chips in greased 8-inch square backing dish. In a small bowl stir refried beans;spread over chips. Top with beef mixture and cheese.
Bake uncovered at 375 for 15-20 minutes or until heated. Top with lettuce, tomatoes, and olives. Serve with sour cream and picante sauce.

I can't believed I typed that all...especially for you..EEK!

Well anyways..I use extra chips and about 2lbs of beef and 2 cans of beans and do 2 layers instead of just the one. I find the chips and beans absorb the grease from the beef, so it helps...Dontknow But it's farking good..nod

Ranting here it is here...Annoyed

Awwww....you typed that out for me? You love me don't you Grin

Thanks..that sounds really good. I've made a variation of that before but with tortillas not tortilla chips. I think the tortilla chips sound like they'd be really good. It sounds kind of like layered nachos. And I love nachos. A lot.

Oooh, ham and scalloped potatoes are goooood.

Made the meatloaf. Everyone (but Christian who also hates mashed potatoes, lol) LOVED it!

I used

beef/pork
package of onion soup mix
ketchup
saltines
liquid smoke..but just a little since RRG said it sucks. I didn't really taste it. Not sure what it's supposed to taste like though, lol.
eggs
milk
cheese (everything's gotta have cheese)

and I think that's it. Thanks for the help everyone Smilie

Frozen navy beans do not fare well. It would be more like hummus when you thawed it out.

OMG you guys.

On the news they're talking about the snow. They showed the road and yeah...it's covered but it's not terrible looking or anything.

They said metro police have been called to 60 accidents in the last hour and some people are going 20 mph on the interstate Facepalm
