I bought this last year for same price. When it works, the interface is fast and responsive. Rewinding, navigating, etc. is all very good. The app integration is also very good and I use the app as the remote more than the physical remote. Connecting headphones to your phone/app instead of the TV is also pretty handy. My biggest gripe is that the Roku freezes or restarts itself A LOT, especially with certain apps like Max (HBO). I haven't been able to solve this. My theory is that the unit is overheating or maxing out. I have to physically unplug the power to the box many times to restart it. I do think it's worth $34 and the experience is better than my Chromecast and Fire stick.
that TCL tv is probably where we met been great but it won't keep up with external boxes or get patched up as often.
EDIT.. just noticed deal is the LT ultra, not the Ultra '22 so YMMV... I have both ultra and plus roku boxes one even has USB port that I haven't tried. Got mine years ago so probably same speed... just a notch slower than my Apple TV and less ads then my Fire Cube (both second gens) This seems like a fair price but plenty of deal coming up.
Sorry I'm not quite following you. So you're saying a Roku Ultra was a Good match and worthwhile upgrade on our older TCL 6 series and you would recommend doing it?
And no, I'm not locked in on this LT Ultra . I've never really used anything else , so I have nothing to compare the built-in Roku to.
Deal might be dead. I was able to put it in my cart but when I went to check out, it got removed with the message that it was OOS. However, going back to the listing, it still looks live and I was able to order one using the "Buy it now" option. I'm guessing it will get cancelled, but we'll see.
Edit: just got a notice that it has shipped!

If you have a good AV setup (large tv, receiver, surround sound) or especially a dedicated home theater room, shouldn't look at anything less than an Nvidia Shield Pro or Apple TV4k

sorry for the confusion... I know nothing about the LT version so I edited it as iffy choice. I like my Ultra and Plus boxes on the TCL 6
I use the 2nd gen Apple TV and Fire Cube on the SONY OLED. Everything is better since I bumped up my VZW 5G Home Plus internet.

The $20 (regular price) onn box from Walmart is worlds better than locked down Roku boxes that are riddled with problems as others have mentioned here. Even the remote is far superior.
I guess that I'm in the minority, but I hated the AppleTV remote and returned it. Buttons are hard to see/feel in the dark and the Roku remote is much more tactile to me.
100% this. Same reason I ditched it and went Roku.
since i didn't see it mentioned anywhere, i believe the main differences of this LT model over the regular ultra are: no dolby atmos, no usb port, and standard voice remote (the old ultra had the same one but the new ultra has a rechargeable remote)

I believe this LT model doesn't have a MicroSD card slot either.
Some people might not care about it, but I had to use a MicroSD card in all of my Roku Ultra boxes as it kept wanting to re-download apps whenever switching between them. I'm not sure what the storage limit is for apps, but I don't even have that many of them downloaded.
I have had Roku Ultras for over a decade on each of my TVs. I buy at least one new one a year, then push the older ones down to older tvs. I only do streaming and have them hooked up to LAN cable (the reason I get Ultra) and stream 4k movies from a plex server. I work them hard. I once had to google a configuration change because the 4k streams from plex were lagging...but config fixed it while preserving native resolution. Otherwise I've never had an issue with overworking my Rokus. maybe you have weak wifi or a bad unit. These things are champs.
You might be off a couple of years if you have been using Ultras for over a decade. The first branded Roku Ultra (4640) was introduced in October of... 2016. The previous "high end" Roku 4K set top box was the coffee cup warmer Roku 4 (4400), introduced a year earlier in October of 2015.
