I bought this last year for same price. When it works, the interface is fast and responsive. Rewinding, navigating, etc. is all very good. The app integration is also very good and I use the app as the remote more than the physical remote. Connecting headphones to your phone/app instead of the TV is also pretty handy. My biggest gripe is that the Roku freezes or restarts itself A LOT, especially with certain apps like Max (HBO). I haven't been able to solve this. My theory is that the unit is overheating or maxing out. I have to physically unplug the power to the box many times to restart it. I do think it's worth $34 and the experience is better than my Chromecast and Fire stick.

I've read that this model has been discontinued and no longer supported by Roku. Might wanna look into the straight ulta deal posted for qvc.https://community.roku.com/t5/Fea...d-p/943593
Where in the link you posted does it say discontinued? If you read the responses, there is no mention of this product being discontinued. In fact, it discusses how Roku reuses model names, but with new numbers. For example, Roku Ultra LT 4662X is no longer manufactured, but still supported. If it's the Ultra LT 4800X it's still manufactured and supported. We won't know which Walmart is providing in this deal, but I'm assuming that I will be receiving a 4800X.

You're absolutely right. They do heat up and start freezing and stop working. This happened to me. I switched to Google tv instead because of this and Google also supports way more apps.

is this the 2021 model? I believe it is
Click "View More" under "About This Item". Under the "Breathtaking Picture" heading, it contains "Roku Ultra LT 2021". Must be 2021 unless they made a copy and paste mistake.

Yeah it's the same buggy slow , works like crap over WiFi. Plex streamer I use for all my remix 4k movies
Works great for the money can't complain. Would take a Nvidia shield over this though.they need to upgrade already to 2.5Gbps or wifi7

I purchased this a while ago for the same price, and I would absolutely recommend the Apple TV over this. The Roku was perfectly usable at first, but after a few months, it started lagging and having various issues (Bluetooth connections, apps crashing, etc). I tried factory resetting it, but that didn't help much. I understand the Apple TV is significantly more expensive, but in my opinion it's worth it if you can afford it (I got the Apple TV on sale for $90 at Verizon). The Apple TV is way faster (same chip as iPhone 14 so should remain fast for a long time), content and UI looks noticably sharper, apps are better optimized, nice integration with other Apple devices, etc. That being said, I may not be aware of specific use-cases for the Roku that aren't possible with the Apple TV.
After a year or so, I experienced the same sluggishness (not very responsive) on the 4K Roku stick, even though I don't have many apps installed. I will stay with Apple TV from now on, and performance will remain the same as when I first had it.

Doesn't have Dobly Atmos like the regular Ultra. Really not much difference than a Roku streaming stick 4k+ which is cheaper on sale besides 1gb more ram they have the same capabilities of 4k60fps, same processor(ARM Cortex A55) . So it will load apps a little faster but not much of a difference. If you want the best id go with the Ultra not the Ultra LT. ULTRA(NON LT) gets you Dolby Atmos. A huge difference if you have an Atmos capable sound system or sound bar or home theater receiver and proper Atmos speaker setup. Just an FYI. Get what's best for your situation. All required a hdcp 2.2 connection and obviously 4k capable tv for 4k output.
Some good points, but where is the stick cheaper? I see see it for less than $34 anywhere.

Around Black Friday it's usually $24.99 typically. I can't promise that this year but that's up to your to take the gamble or if 34 is good enough get the LT if no Dolby Atmos Decoding is fine for you. You'll get 1gb more ram for 10 bucks more or at no extra cost depending on what the price is bf. You aren't losing much just making everyone aware of the differences. That is if you have Walmart Plus.
