I bought this last year for same price. When it works, the interface is fast and responsive. Rewinding, navigating, etc. is all very good. The app integration is also very good and I use the app as the remote more than the physical remote. Connecting headphones to your phone/app instead of the TV is also pretty handy. My biggest gripe is that the Roku freezes or restarts itself A LOT, especially with certain apps like Max (HBO). I haven't been able to solve this. My theory is that the unit is overheating or maxing out. I have to physically unplug the power to the box many times to restart it. I do think it's worth $34 and the experience is better than my Chromecast and Fire stick.

Honestly it's HBO Max, it's a buggy app. Known to have quite a few issues. One is loading movies. Sometimes it can be fixed by rebooting your router and cable modem etc. weird but it's a lot on their end I think.

Should be an upgrade. Newer processor with a arm ca55 and 2gb ram. Don't think 2018 6 series came anywhere close to those specs.

It is a newer model 4800x based on the photos. The 4662x has the network port on the left hand side and the 4800x has the network port between the HDMI Port and the power port, just for future reference at a quick glance that is how you tell without looking at model numbers.

It hasn't been that price since 2022 according to camel. I bought one last year around this time and it was $30. The Ultra LT actually has the same processor as the (not brand new 2024 model) Ultra while stick has a slightly lesser processor. And from what I read the LT can pass Dolby Atmos which seems like all anyone should need because one's A/V Receiver should be the one processing it anyhow.

There really is no substitute in the Roku lineup for the true Ultra. The LT and sticks are all gimped with limited ram, which really bottlenecks the units. You can update the apps and clear the cache in each app to help, but even using 500mbps internet wont solve a 4 hour 4k football game from overheating and stuttering. There's a reason the Ultras are $60 to $100 depending on the sale.
This LT is fine for 1080i/p and 720p. It's a glorified 4k stick gimped with low ram.

Onn makes a decent one also in the Google TV style with their Onn Google TV 4k Pro that has Dolby vision and Atmos at $50 with a 5 dollar off manufacturers offer making it $45. They have a cheaper one for 20 that does 4k HDR, 2gb ram a35 arm quad-core, no Dolby vision or Atmos.
I have this one and it definitely passes Dolby Atmos. Mine is connected to an AVR and it passes a Dolby Atmos signal when I'm watching Disney Plus content. I only bought one last year because someone said it doesn't pass Dolby Atmos and wanted 3 more. I'm glad the sale came back, just ordered 3. My first one works perfectly, no buffering issues or anything.

Thats incorrect, the Ultra LT and Ultra both have 2gb ram and the same Arm Cortex A55 processor. They are identical. The only difference is Ultra has a USB 3.1 port and is capable of decoding Dolby Atmos. The Ultra LT does not have USB or Atmos decoding. The stick 4k plus has the same processor and 1gb less ram. If you want faster you must get a Onn Google TV Pro streaming device(Same processor as Ultra and Ultra LT but 3GB ram and Android 12 running) or a Google TV 4k Streamer Plus( MediaTek MT 8696 processor and 4GB Ram, 32gb storage and Android 14 running). Even better is a Nvidia Shield TV Pro/ Go even further and get a Xbox Series X or PS5. Though they Xbox has more apps than the PS5 they both don't have the app library quite as big as an Android/Google platform but more things can be done with it obviously, better 4k gaming, 4k blu ray etc.

I watch 4K college football games all day long on Saturday with my Roku Ultra LT. Mine doesn't overheat or stutter.
