I bought this last year for same price. When it works, the interface is fast and responsive. Rewinding, navigating, etc. is all very good. The app integration is also very good and I use the app as the remote more than the physical remote. Connecting headphones to your phone/app instead of the TV is also pretty handy. My biggest gripe is that the Roku freezes or restarts itself A LOT, especially with certain apps like Max (HBO). I haven't been able to solve this. My theory is that the unit is overheating or maxing out. I have to physically unplug the power to the box many times to restart it. I do think it's worth $34 and the experience is better than my Chromecast and Fire stick.

I have a question. I have a 4k Nvidia Shield and a Firestick. I knocked an old Google Disk chromecast thing off-line because it was interfering w/ Shield remote. I know some things are proprietary, like needing Apple TV or Roku to watch football games. I believe this is to get you into their ecosystem. So if that is the case, is this Roku really worth it just for that football reason?

Why do you need an Apple TV or Roku to watch football? Can't the Shield get streaming channels? I know the Firestick can

Where did you find a 4k Stick+ (or even non plus) for that cheap last year? Either way the price is still more than you were touting. If you dig deeper than Roku's website you will see both 4k Stick models use the Realtek 1315 processor while both (10th gen) Ultra models use the Realtek 1319. And I said the Ultra LT would pass Dolby Atmos so not sure how that is wrong!?! I did question the need for Roku to decode Dolby Atmos since that's the job for the A/V Rec'r.

Read what I say not what you think in your head please. Nope it doesn't have that as a processor. Never had. All stick 4k and 4k plus uses the arm a55 same with new Ultra and LT 4800x which is pictured for sale here. The old updateable stick + used a arm cortex a53 same with the oldest Ultra and Ultra LT... the oldest updateable stick 3600x used a arm cortex a7. The legacy stick used an Arm11. I'm using their developes guide chart specs from Roku developers website. https://developer.roku.com/docs/s...ardware.md i think they'd know and make sure to be correct on their chart and you are wrong again. Can't use the internets? Its an Arm Cortex A55 with 1GB ram always has been for stick 4k and 4kplus... Smh I also said LT can't decode not passthrough. I agree most people should own a Atmos decoder built in to their receiver but some don't and want the decoder same with older sound bars and some more expensive tvs with decent built in sound. Im in the receiver with it built in camp but I just want to make it clear that it doesn't decode like the Ultra does. Pretty sure the 4k stick plus does passthrough too. So yea I mean keep on being wrong with your bad self. I don't mind correcting you not matter how many thumbs down I get considering youre coming at me with false information trying to correct me in the first place... smh some people. Ps they've always had a deal to use ARM cores. Thats why they use ARM cores across the board. They do how ever use a Realtek wifi chip... know what you are talking about before you keep on... There are some NFL games that force you to have either FUBO or one of these ecosystems to watch. I know it sounds strange, but it's been happening.

But that still doesn't require specific streaming hardware like the original post seemed to imply. With access to ESPN's family of channels, I believe folks can get every SEC football game (except for some rare away OOC games). As for the NFL, as long as you have your locals (that are free with an OTA antenna) and the aforementioned ESPN then you should get everything except the Thursday night football games.

Only Amazon Prime does a weekly streaming of NFL game. I guess Peacock does Sunday night but you can also get SNF on NBC. The others are either on Fox, CBS, NBC or ESPN. The ESPN games are actually available on ABC too. If you're lucky enough to live where you can pick up the main broadcast stations over the air, then all of that is free. NFL Network did the games in Europe but they came on at 6:30am out west so I didn't bother watching. Plus they were boring matchups anyway. Who wants to see the Jacksonville Jaguars or Carolina Panthers?

You surely don't need to buy a Roku or Apple TV device, if you already have a Shield, Firestick or Smart TV. Amazon Prime, Peacock, ESPN, FUBO, YouTube TV, Hulu Plus are available on any of those streaming devices.

Now if you're talking about NFL Sunday Ticket you need You Tube or YTTV for that.

It doesn't give you the option for shipping? I get a choice of shipping, delivery or pickup.

I received my Ultra LT units today. The model number is 4801RW. I'm guessing the W stands for Walmart exclusive.

what is main difference between the Ultra v Ultra LT? from what I searched the Ultra UT is a Walmart exclusive but reviews say the regular Ultra is superior in performance?

if I didn't already pick up 2 of the regular ultra's from QVC for $30 I'd be all over this. I got an LT last year from WM, It's the device that got me hooked on Roku. really works well.

Onn makes a decent one also in the Google TV style with their Onn Google TV 4k Pro that has Dolby vision and Atmos at $50 with a 5 dollar off manufacturers offer making it $45. They have a cheaper one for 20 that does 4k HDR, 2gb ram a35 arm quad-core, no Dolby vision or Atmos.
You forgot to mention the Ultra / Ultra LT has hardwired capabilities with RJ45 jack. I hardwire all my streaming boxes.
