Though this really doesn't matter, as those designations only apply to direct from apple units. Aftermarket refurbs and open box phones will still have M designations.

I recently bought the Motorola Edge 2024 via straighttalk and it was good, no carrier boot logo, and the specs is the same as the unlocked retail version. However on the software side, it come with many pre-installed apps from tracfone, some of which are impossible to remove/disabled, some of them auto install 3rd party apps (mobile services - disableable). It is a privacy and security concern to the people that care. Lastly, it has been known to impossible to unlocked the boot loader (not the same as carrier unlocked). Which allowed the user to root or loading different OS on their device. Therefore in someway you're still locking to StraightTalk/Tracfone.
I would like to know if it's the same with IOS? I haven't using IOS for a while, and never using carrier IOS. Is it come with pre-installed apps, carrier logo that can't be removed? or the ability to software update directly from apple instead a Tracfone channel? Any restriction that one should be aware before jump on the deals?
