" The moisturizing agent and anti-microbial agent, found in both Scotch-Brite(TM) and O-Cel-O(TM) sponges are poisonous to fish. All packages provide warning: "Not for aquarium use."
3M Social Care MANUFACTURER · January 5, 2018"

I don't recall a notice about them having any antimicrobial substances on them before, these are the same sponges sold at Costco right? You guys think this is the reason behind the proposition 65 warning? I thought it was because of the Teflon like plastic scrubby material? WTF are these things made of exactly?! They just drop in 'there's some cancer causing substance on them', like we're destroying the planet and soon it will be beyond hope to repair, but carry-on as usual. if the stuff is poisonous to fish, why would I want that on my dishes! If it was easy to wash out of the sponges, why wouldn't they tell aquarium owners , or other others, how to do that!

Edit: here's what I do to decrease the amount of sponges I have to buy: save all your toilet paper cardboard and other cardboard pieces, use them to scrub scum off dirty sinks etc., then compost. You can use them to scrub off kitchen equipment and stick in your food scrap/compost recycling bin afterwards. It's much more hygienic, you don't have to wash the worst gunk out of your sponges. Complain to these companies, at least in your reviews, that you don't want antimicrobials and totally unnecessary dyes etc. in products. they used to sell plain cellulose sponges but they're harder and harder to find, trader Joe's used to have some. some people use cotton dish cloths…

Yes,Nysaver, I guess these contribute to microplastics as well, that is a huge problem. It's now dried and flying in the air these micro plastic particles, it's found in most peoples tissues, all the sea creatures they've tested, how do people actually think this is gonna end if it continues like this?

I think your right. But also we have to consider how fast these degrade contributing to millions of microplastics everywhere. I just use cotton dish clothes now. Much better

Same, still a good price though. I tried Amazon basics once and they lasted a fraction as long and didn't work as good.

Not a slickdeal. Average price per CCC is $5.73. Why compare it to the list price and not the normal price?

I agree.
I guess if you're about to run out and really need them now this isn't necessarily a bad deal, but I definitely wouldn't call it slick.
