They say they are. My experience with getting official Apple accessories from Woot when they say they're official has been around a 90% success rate. I've had a few Apple Watch chargers that weren't authentic. I've also had Apple Watch bands that said they were new - but would arrive in a ploy bag or plain brown box - clearly be used. My experience getting Woot to rectify these things has been quite good with full refunds or authentic replacements. But there's definitely a chance - albeit a slim one - things aren't as they exactly state, especially when they're not coming in retail packaging.

Just a PSA, this is for the cable with charging puck only. It does not include the actual USB-C power adapter that plugs into the electrical outlet. The last bullet in the product features states:

"Recommended to be used with Apple 20W USB-C Power Adapter (sold separately)"

Agreed, ~90% in my experience too. Check serial warranty whenever possible on Apple website. One time I got a "new" MagSafe wallet that was already paired, even though it was a sealed Apple box, so I'm guessing refurb maybe third party. Non-Apple stuff I've also received expired foods, and received also wrong item a handful of times. If the deal is slick, it's worth a try... refund is easy enough.

All this debate and one just needs to look at the detail on the Woot site and they say they are genuine Apple direct from Apple, New, not refurbished.

I think they just gave you a fake one~ The problem in your case is the dealer. Has nothing to do with Apple, Woot, and reputable 3rd party retailer. Woot is owned by Amazon. I really doubt they will fake Apple stuff. I've bought so many Apple accessories from them and they are all real.
