M3 is faster and supports 2 external monitors when lid closed.

The SSD in this is also faster than the M2. Might not notice it in day to day tasks, but still. For $100 more than the earlier M2 deal, I think the upgrades here and an extra year of software support is worth it (definitely more so than paying $200 for an extra 256gb of onboard storage).

Looks like this is the 10 core GPU version, which means its price just dropped $50 further. Damn good deal.

The description is misleading. If you check product information under processor you will see it is the 8-core GPU version. Still a really good price.

would this be an upgrade or downgrade of a MB pro M1? I like it but it's so heavy and i travel a ton for work

! At the same time I don't want to give up the battery life or beautiful screen. How does the m3 air compare?

Wasn't this one $899 yesterday? Or is that a different model?
Correct. I bought mine last week and just had them refund me the difference.

Yep it's a good deal. I wonder if we gamble and wait until BF/CM will it drop even further? Or will we be up the river without a shiny new Macbook.

I'm debating between Macbook Air M3 13' 16/512 or Macbook Pro M4 14" 16/512 for $350 more Wink

Good point. I won't open the box and till the BF/CM nod

This macbook is for my wife and just for some office/document work so air is better suite the case and she prefer bigger screen. For more complicated work definitely go with pro.

Smart thinking, once you open the laptop it makes returns possibly expensive due to restocking fees (unless it's CostCo). Since i have the BB credit card I'm hoping they offer a bonus, 10% offer or 0% for 12 months and Macbook Air for $1049 or less. I'll probably buy the Amazon today and just not open it until the dust settles.

Yes I suffer from SDFOMO.

Aside from just selling it yourself, what's the best way to get max value for a MacBook Air M1 (or any Apple laptops) if upgrading to this or MacBook Pro? Any good trade-in programs that would give more value than just selling?

Is $250 off about the best discount one can expect on apple laptops during holiday sales?

A quick question and thanks in advance.
I have my son's student Prime (half the annual fee), Prime is in his name (college student) but the Amazon credit card is mine.
If I buy this macbook for $849, do I get 5% back from the Amazon Chase Visa card?

Re: Restocking Fees

If someone has a moment, please tell us with less experience with restocking fees on Apple products, which companies do/don't charge, is it only for opened products and how much it costs? Thanks

Purchased a M2 for $749 from costco, going to return it for this deal. M3 is slightly faster and I don't have to worry about the storage speed issue.

I'm pretty sure Amazon does not charge restocking for laptops but I could be mistaken. They're also doing their holiday returns period so returns are accepted through January 15, 2025.

Tempted. What do I do with my old 2015 MacBook Air? Anyway to salvage that without trying to shuck it off for a few bucks on marketplace?
