All in all, there are so many games that I didn't play over this past year, it wasn't worth the cost.
Honestly, this year, I'm going back down to Plus so I have access to the free games and online service.
I think subscriber base may fall off a cliff when everyone's previous stacking is up.

I don't want to upgrade my tier, I'm fine with essentials. Please don't require current subscribers to upgrade their tier to get any sort of deal. I hate this tactic.
So I am currently in US and I am from India. Can I buy a PS5 on black friday but purchase a PS plus from india using Indian Bank/cc as its way cheaper there?
With the recent price hikes, this might be the 1st time since 2007 where I don't have an active ps+ subscription.

I just like to complain about loyalty not being important to Sony (and honestly many other companies) - it's all about squeezing as much money out of the user base as possible.
As a consumer you may not like paying $10 but that is another matter then "why" a company does not give current customers a discount.
