Best deal on any 7900XT ever so far.

BE WARNED, MAKE SURE YOU MEASURE YOUR CASE. THIS IS THE LONGEST GPU ON THE MARKET RIGHT NOW (Maybe besides a ROG 4090)

Beats the 4070 Ti Super and just under the 4080 Super in performance (Outside of Ray Tracing)

20GB VRAM

vs

12-16 GB VRAM for Nvidia besides the 4090 and XTX for 24GB.

This is the same price as a 4070 Super, while being way higher performance.

If you dont need nvidia features, this is the gpu to buy right now.

Personally I like nvidia software better for movies and super resolution. If i wasnt such a movie and anime watcher, you just need an AMD gpu for better price to performance.

the 7000 series GPU's are also very tuned now and you dont have to worry about stability. I would just warn you that AMD seems to suffer from browser enhanced graphics.

For purely gaming, AMD cannot be beat at price to performance.

I got this gpu for $700 a few months ago and that was still the best price to performance. I just miss nvidia's super resolution for movies and anime watching. It helps clear up pixels on entertainment.

If AMD had this feature to help remove pixelation from movies I would totally stay AMD. Nvidia also has an HDR enhancement feature, unfortuneately AMD does not have this either.

Pure Gaming Performance up to 4k 144hz = 7900 XT (XTX if you have the money for not much more performance and more wattage)
Movies+Gaming = Nvidia Anything for your resolution and hertz rate.

Note that to get this performance you have to spend $1000 for the 4080 Super with Nvidia.
Again, This is the best price to performance on the market that you will get for a long time. 5000 series on Nvidia is expected to cost more than the 4000 series.

No reason except for 15 to 20 frames more. A card with 3 fans and better cooling. A 3 year warranty instead of 1 and a actual name brand card versus Acer who are know for monitors.

their performance looks to be the exact same, and the 4070-s is cheaper

I'm definitely waiting now, wtf. 16GB of VRAM is still more than enough.

Well actually, would it be worth buying it now before the tariffs?
I don't think tariffs are going to be a problem. They aren't certain to happen, there could be exceptions, and I think AMD and Nvidia are going to try to launch their new cards around CES in January. If we're lucky, they'll even oversupply them to the U.S. to try to get ahead of tariffs.

UserBenchmark is a cringe site that should be completely ignored. Here's their blurb for the 7900 series:

Quote :
AMD's new 7900 series GPUs received a lot of pre-launch hype. There were claims of 50-70% performance improvements over the previous flagship. Our benchmarks show that the 7900-XTX leads the 6950-XT by around 30%. AMD overhype their product launches because it is effective at getting first-time buyers to pay over MRSP. After an initial burst in sales, prices often drop rapidly, as with the 6900 XT and the recently launched Zen 4 7950X, which are now both 30% cheaper. AMD's domination of social media platforms has historically resulted in millions of users purchasing sub standard products, those users will be very hard, if not impossible for AMD to win back. If this trend continues, semiconductors may become a secondary business line for AMD, who appear more focused on developing "Advanced Marketing" relationships with select youtubers and media outlets. Based on the volume of social media/press coverage, you would never guess that the combined market share for all of AMD's Radeon 5000 and 6000 GPUs amongst PC gamers is just 2.12% (Steam stats). Be wary of sponsored reviews (golden samples+cherry picked games) that showcase the wins and gloss over the losses whilst conveniently ignoring frame drops. Despite steady price cuts, an increasing number of seasoned gamers simply have no interest in buying AMD products. They know from bitter experience that headline average fps are worthless when they are accompanied with stutters, random crashes, excessive noise and a limited feature set. Most gamers, who are better off playing at 1080p, will do well to wait for Nvidia's upcoming 4060/4070 series cards (est. early 2023). Even brand fans that wish to be in AMD's "2%" club, will find better deals after the launch hype settles. Shoppers should avoid AMD's reference design as many users are reporting thermal issues.

Userbenckmark shouldn't be used as a reference for anything, ever. That site is the definition of untrustworthy.

User benchmark should be taken off google search listings, Most biased reviewer site out there. This price is so enticing. If AMD priced them at these prices out the gate, they would've won a ton more market share.
