Just an fyi, there were issues with the reference cards and the vapor chamber cooling. This card does not use the reference design so you don't have to worry about that.

The issue was with the 7900 xtx, this is a 7900 xt, so it would not be effected by that defect anyway.

Just please note the size of these. 344mm in length if I'm not mistaken. This was one of the reasons I went w/ a different brand as 340mm was the largest my particular case could accommodate.

That's a good point, but like someone else said, that's only for the 7900xtx. Even if it was a 7900xtx, that issue only effects the reference models, not AIB cards like this one.
These aren't selling very well I've heard. Will there be a price drop soon?
IMO, that depends on how much supply remains of the 6900XT and 6950XT. I imagine they would want to liquidate inventory of those before dropping the price on the 7900 models, which just came out last month.
There has also been some speculation that as drivers mature, AMD might be able to squeeze another 10-20% rasterization performance out of the 7900s. If that's the case (big IF!), the sales would pick up without a price drop.
In general, it's safe to say the longer these sit on shelves, the more likely we are to see a price cut. Same goes for the Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti and 4080, which are also experiencing poor sales numbers.

My area has a few dozen 3080's selling for 500 dollars and random 3090, 3070, and 3060ti cards at various low prices on Craigslist.....
Also on the current driver's, the 6950 XT is putting up some pretty impressive numbers, beating a 4070ti and matching this card in many games. And it comes with 2 good free games and is only 700 dollars, similar with the 6800xt and it's dipping under 500 also with the same 2 free games.

No, it is not. It is "Popular". SD has some settings you can change to make certain things show up on "your" front page. This deal has not hit the actual front page yet.
When a deal goes FP it will be labeled so at the top of the deal (this one still says "popular"), and the deal editors edit the listing to look more like you see all the other FP deals. And it will say something like "Thanks to community member redeyes for posting". This one is still the original OP.

Can confirm on Amazon page. How is this card longer than my Sapphire Nitro+ 7900xtx. Mind boggling!

Thumbs up for the deal and repped for your effort too!
If it does go FP you will get a sweet new label as well for a while.
