I have the xt black and I think it's suppose to be slightly overlocked compared to regular.

Haven't tried, I play on ultra wide 1440 p max detail at 240 frames on apex legends though.

Isn't it better to pay the extra amount and get the xtx?

Hold folks, hold. There's no reason to rationally spend $700+ on a gcard if you're just gaming.

Yeah I refuse to spend that much on a GPU. Several years ago $500 would get you a top tier GPU, and now these days you have to spend closer to $1k.

The transition from 1440p to 2160p gaming is going to be an EXPENSIVE AND PAINFULLY SLOW JOURNEY OF ABOUT A DECADE..before you get that at reasonable pricing

Consider the increase in demand over past years and inflation. Add in the supply chain disruptions and you can see how the prices are likely justified at 40-50% increase in past 4-5 years. Yes, double the price from several years ago is definitely too much but people keep saying wait for the same price as 5-10 years ago that's ridiculous and good luck to them. They likely be waiting till they're about 80 years old. I would rather pay the extra 50 or 100 bucks and enjoy my gaming then wait another three months hoping for the prices to continue to drop.

Any major difference between XT and XTX besides VRAM?

And the 1080s were much cheaper, about half as much. The 2000 series is when nVidia started jacking up prices and they have kept doing that ever since.
