These work in the synology 1019+ but do they work in the DX517 addon?

2023 BF got (2) 18TB for $199 each at Best Buy. Not supporting any companies with Greedflation prices.

Total came out to $232.50 (excluding tax) Don't forget Amex has $25 off $250. Also GCGranny or CardBear can give you 7% off Best Buy gift cards.
I never seem to get any of these good offers. No Best Buy on any of my 3.

Yes, these are easily shuckable to put in a NAS, PC, etc. Inside are "white label" drives, which are basically the same thing as WD Reds, just firmware locked to be slightly slower.

Used to go for these every few years. However I'm firmly in the used enterprise HDD camp.

Still have six 8tb shucked drives going after 6+ years.
Where did (or would) you get your used enterprise drives, if you don't mind me asking? I'm interested in getting 4 to 6 20tb or 22tb drives, so any cost saving would quickly add up.

Edit: (removed double post, kept this one)

Of note for this and the 18TB model it says "black friday deal" which normally means @ BB that the price won't be lower by black friday (cyber monday however might count as something else, but I've not seen that with BB in my time of buying drives there...) I was hoping for a deal on the 22/24s but I'm in for two to use my $10 BB cert, $25 AMX credit ($250+ so don't forget to add a filler if you're only getting one!) to replace a pair of aging 8TB externals on my plex server. (12.50 a TB is also likely to be a better price than you'll see next year in the US market I fear...)
Previous amex deals the tax counted for the threshold, did that change? Even if the terms don't say tax counts it still did.

That is what I would assume. Amex just sees the amount billed to the card.

Careful with enterprise drives if your NAS/DAS isn't tucked away somewhere that you can't hear or see it. Enterprise drives tend to be much louder than commercial/consumer drives.

My 14TB's are pretty full and I don't have the time to go sorting, so these are tempting to grab a pair and just keep loading and backing things up. Anyone know how this model compares to the ones on Amazon for $268 each?

BestBuy Model: WDBAMA0200HBK-NESN
Amazon 20TB Model: WDBWLG0200HBK-NESN

I have rarely had hard drives fail on me, but one that recently did prematurely was a 14TB WD EasyStore, so that doesn't give me a ton of confidence.

I realize this may not be as good as it gets, but I need them so if I end up spending an extra $20-$40 per drive on a better deal come BF or Cyber Monday I won't be all that mad.

Should I grab these?

Easystore is a BB exclusive. Amazon may have deals on the WD Elements though
