iPhones are unlocked automatically 60 days after activation (with IMEI and a paid plan). You don't even need to open the box. Simply check sickw.com on day 60 or 61 and the status should show unlocked. You can then setup the phone anywhere, without or with a SIM from different service provider.

Bought this from previous deal.

Used edge with ms shopping which was 15% back last time. Bought 2 and showing $30 back pending on both transactions. It's 12% now and seems the best deal available.

I had chase offers on both freedom unlimited and CSR for 25% back capped at $15. Those both qualified so $45 cb plus standard cb from credit cards combined. I see the chase offers are back on both of those cards for me now; almost tempted to try and buy 2 more.

Received both phones, they will come with SIM card and instructions taped to back of iPhone box. Follow instructions which include going to straight talk activation website and inserting the sim. The silver, or whichever plan you choose, is tied to the sim and you will see a message to that effect when completing activation on the website. Once activated, text UNLOCK to 611611 twice and you will receive a response that lists the unlock date. You only have to pay 1 month of service and the device will unlock 60 days post activation.

Cashback is limited to $50 max per transaction I believe. It might have been better to split the orders to get max cashback.

Can someone report how much taxes being charged when buy it on Straight Talk vs buy it from Walmart store?
I just went thru the process buying it at a local Walmart. The tax is apparently charged at the full $399 price despite the phone rung up at $199 of this deal, plus the $45 Silver Plan for one month. Both the employee and I agreed the tax at 7% in our area, the tax should be $17ish ($199 + $45). Yet the Walmart POS shows $31ish tax.
I figure I would come here to check further before buying the phone because I already bought the Pixel 9 phone from Mint 2 days ago at $299. Expected to receive it Tuesday per FedEx tracking. This iPhone 13 would be a spare.

My phone says it will be unlocked on Jan 28. Does anyone know if I have to be in the USA to have it auto unlock as I will be in Europe during this time.

Wow!!! Thank your for the best ever example of dumb logic mentioning a phone that isn't released, a phone deal that is over budget, and sold out, questioning an individual's current phone situation, and past actions. You must really live in both the past and future, but not the present. I can't fix (your) stupid; I'd be stupid to even try.
Dude. I am not going to take any phone advice from you who supposedly has been using an "iPhone 6s (2015 model) for the past 9 years". You are telling me that it is dumb logic for me to tell you that you should have upgraded an iPhone 6s a very long time ago. Really? It is an absolute fact that you could have upgraded that phone a long time ago and literally traded it in for great big deals. Living under a rock for the past 7 years during all those great iPhone 6s trade-ins. You suffered for 9 years with an iPhone 6s. When everyone told you that you should have upgraded, you start whining, crying and calling others "stupid". Unreal. You can't make this up. Go use your iPhone 6s another 9 years. Using an iPhone 6s for 9 years is what I call stupid.

Yeah, the same thing happened for many on the SE3 when purchased from Walmart last year …

It can vary by state, but the rules can get complicated for things like that. If a retailer simply drops the price of an item they sell, the taxes are charged on the lower price. But there can be various ways of dealing with coupons and "instant rebates" that get messier. For instance, this is being sold by Walmart, but through StraightTalk … it may be treated kind of like an instant rebate reimbursed from ST to Walmart when the sale happens, triggering tax on the full amount.

I believe taxes are only charged on the discounted amount when purchased directly through ST.

It should unlock fine outside the country and others have done that in the past. The unlock goes through Apple's activation servers. You'll just need to have an internet connection (WiFi is fine).

How did you order two phones? Did you make two accounts and ordered one phone per account?

Years and years ago a rep had said an old T mobile/verizon/etc phone couldn't be brought over and used with US cellular, but maybe that was all BS so i would cave and spend full price with a phone directly. Or maybe unlocking phones wasn't common back then.
https://www.whistleout.com/CellPh...lar-review

US cellular doesn't have a huge network, they roam off att and verizon. This is a rare company, they actually had their own network towers.

Essentially you are "BYOD" bringing your own device from this deal to go on US cellular service once its unlocked

I did finally retired my dads iphone 6 plus not 6s with this deal. He just use it for call/cell service, doesn't know how to use any of the phone apps. We use it to find him when he gets lost.. can't do that with a regular cell phone. That 6 plus was passed down from 4 family members. Still works today, looking to do that samsung trade in off this phone

Once you receive the phone there will be a package attached to the phone box that has your sim card and a card with your phones ID# and sim card ID#. inside the iPhone box there will be sim tray ejection tool inside of a square paper package. pop the sim tray out of your phone and install the sim card. Then go to straightalk website and in the top right of the home page will be a link to the 'activate' section. Click that, follow prompts. when it ask for an ID# put in the phone ID#. Once you finish the activation steps on the straighttalk website give the phone 5-10 minutes to complete the activation. You will receive a text on the device once activation is complete.

Note: The included pamphlet alongside your sim card has instructions to visit the wrong website which is a sister brand of straighttalk. do NOT follow any instructions on that pamphlet.

It doesn't. This is my 7th st phone last 2 years. St, and total are my go to for free and fairly quick unlocks. I'll be porting to visible for the gc offer. But I'm definitely gonna burn through the data for the month I paid
Do i have to pay for the second month in order for the phone to unlock?
