That's impossible, how can I mail it and have them receive it the next day? They should have an expiration date at least a week or two away, so that I can first receive and activate the new Pixel 9, copy stuff over (if needed), delete all my personal info from the Pixel 6 ("You will remove all Device data and personal information, passwords, security software, or user locks."), then ship it to them and leave time for shipping carrier to get it to them.
So I reluctantly backed out at the final step.

Per my Tmobile account, I only have the following documents available:

I could not find "Trade In Terms" in ANY of those documents! Very frustrating!
Edit: What is crazy is when I go into my Tmobile account, for the line of service for which the Upgrade and this offer was already done, that same offer and Upgrade still shows itself to be available! I really hope I wasn't bamboozled by the Tmobile Costco rep!
Seems you are missing the Trade in device and the order overview. The order overview has the Pixel 9 listed and under that the trade in device. Next column would be the promotional ID240577 is what I have which is the $800 off with trade.

Got it. I checked to see if it makes sense for me to switch to Tmobile for this deal. But lowest essential plan requires $60/month for one line. I am paying $20 with Total Wireless. I guess this is not for me.
