I'm on simple choice and I qualified. Already traded in two phones. One for a 9 pro xl and one for a regular 9. If you go to the product page and try from there it's gonna keep trying to add a line for the promo. You have to go to the number's profile and select upgrade from there.

How do you do the costco deal online? I dont even see an option at costco.com,i go to the cell phone area, and it just show they have tmobile or at&t

  • Traded a Pixel 7 Pro worth about $175 on eBay if I tried to sell it.
  • Received $800 trade-in value.
  • $199.xx owed, which will be divided into 24 payments of $8.33.

I'm on one of the old plans so this is one of the best deals I've seen come along in quite a while that's eligible for my account.

Hi, I am trying to do the trade in. However I don't see 8.33/ month for 24 months. Only asking me to pay $199+ tax for the phone and receive $33.34 credit for 24 months($800 trade in value). I am on simple choice plan. Did I do anything wrong? Thanks

If you are getting the cheapest Pixel 9, you might not have to pay anything per month.

Worked perfectly when upgrading via the phone app. I think the app is much more straight forward with each of the amount and credits you would received each month; much better than what I can see when trying online.
$35 activation was also waived.

We are considering this - few questions/clarifications:

1. We are on the Essentials family plan with 6 lines. Wondering if that plan might qualify for the trade-in promo (sorry, I haven't checked all 19 pages of this thread for any success for others on that plan.

2. As I understand, our current Pixel devices (4a 5g) are the last ones that Google allowed unlimited photo uploads to Google photos. We are wondering how the ability to upload photos to Google photos changes if we trade in / upgrade to one of the Pixel devices via these offers? Do we completely lose the ability to upload photos OR can we still upload to Google Photos but at lower resolution determined by Google (the language on Google photos seemed confusing last time I checked).

3. Any idea how long this promo runs through? We have upcoming travel overseas (Europe) the week AFTER Thanksgiving (first week of December). Will this be available if we want to avail this AFTER the trip (don't want to risk phone not working overseas as the new device will likely be locked to T-mobile for at least 60 days?).

I assume you did this using the app and not website? This is different from my experience and everyone I heard. I would call the customer service and try to find out what's going on. Definitely don't want to lose your simple choice plan if there is that possibility.

I called customer service and told it won't affect my rate plan. I think I am still good to go.

If you trade/give away your pixel 4a, you lose your unlimited saver quality ability. Its tied to the device, not the Gaccount.

Keep that P4a, use your new phone to transfer photos and video to the P4a and backup it up from there to use the unlimited backup. Newer pixels do not offer any free unlimited Gphotos backup.
