Is there a specific entire process listed out somewhere? I'm hesitant to jump on this deal if I can't ensure it will be unlocked 100% as I need to utilize esims.

"The fastest way is to return it at a T-Mobile store. This way, you don't have to worry about finding your label, printing it, and packing the box. Your trade-in value and promotion are applied to your account right away. "
When i log out of my account i can still see the promo. Not sure what is going on. Maybe they ended it for simple choice.
The deal is dead. They ended it on the 4th with only 24-hour notice. Only the GO plans are eligible now.

I have called several stores in my area and asked about bringing in a trade-in phone. They stated that "the system" does not always allow them to do this, despite the website stating that it is not a problem. Sometimes the system will let them do it, and sometimes it will not. If you store is close, it is certainly worth a try, but not guaranteed.
Corporate stores should have zero problems with this.

Corporate stores have a Black logo.

EDIT: Oh, do you mean the circle T on the map? If so, yes, they were all corporate stores.
