My opinion: This is an older model because the keyboard is silver same as the laptop so good luck seeing the keys. HP finally changed their keyboards on the newer models to a grey color so you can actually see the keys. I would go with the Dell with the same specs and price. Also, this HP has mail in service (2 – 3 weeks to get it fixed) if something happens and the Dell has onsite service (2 – 3 days for it to get fixed). Also, always open any new laptop from the center otherwise the hinges will break away from the top cover / lid.

How many nits is the screen? People in one of the Dell threads were whining about how many nits a screen was… and apparently 250 minutes isn't good enough for a dim light room… but is that even a standard spec?

Just a FYI, when the USB-C port goes bad, which they do, then you would have to replace the motherboard instead of a $7 jack. This laptop has a USB-C and some laptops you can use the USB-C for charging too but I don't know about this model. I've seen to many laptops where the USB-C port goes bad but that's why they put at least two USB-C ports on laptops now.

I bought this computer in this link below two years ago. Is this computer better than that one? Does it have the better screen that does not fade when its at a certain angle? But the one below did come with a WI-Fi 6 card my son in law told me when he looked at the specs when it arrived and helped me set it up.

And a backlit non-10key keyboard.

I'm fine with the keyboard being an island but the off set middle line of the space bar from the screen makes my brain itch
