No - really high performance laptops need more space dedicated not just to the hardware, but also to cooling. Fans, heat pipes, etc. are all big and heavy. The large size of the screen also guarantees that you'll always have some heft.

Not long at all. I don't have an exact amount of time, but you really have to think of this thing as a portable desktop lol.
Fortunately you can just use performance mode which keeps the fans at a reasonable volume while still giving you good gaming performance.
