Any comparisons of this against the Predator Triton 17x? Cross-shopping between the two but still holding out for a better deal.

this was just on ebay direct from acer for $1850 with 2yr warranty, refurbished but same machine

For those not familiar with laptop gaming, don't assume the 4090 in this laptop compares with the desktop equivalent... In fact, it more closely mirrors the performance of a desktop 4080...Just be aware of the tradeoff for convenience/portability.

100% True this won't run much better than an enthusiasts level CPU and a 7900xt build. Portability and the convenience of laptop come at a price.

I Purchased a deal from eBay last year from a seller (Best Buy), received metal in a box, and was told by eBay to ship it back to the seller. The seller accused me of fraud for sending back what they sent me. eBay backed them up and suspended my 24-year-old perfect account. I had to get BBB involved to get my money back. Best Buy Corporate found fraud on their end. eBay still didn't care. I would beware of spending high amounts on eBay. They will not back you. I was close to losing over $2000 for opening a box.

Understood.... I've been on ebay long time as well... this is. Being sold directly by the OEM so I'm not as worried
