Never gonna beat 80's and 90's toys. I still have them and they look great and still work. These are just cheap Chinese plastic.

The quality of Barbie has really dipped in recent years. These dolls are very average, and barely pay homage to the original dolls that they are supposed to be representing. Still, you can't beat $5. Though, the Barbies from Walmart that are $10 come with a ton of accessories, and even some extra outfits, so I guess it depends how much you love the child, or the Barbie collector in your life that you are buying this for. As much as I dislike Walmart, and don't even have any around me, a doll that comes with a ton of fun and cute accessories is a way better deal, then one that does not for half price.
