I asked for both at the same time. Didnt have esim installed. Still waiting though. Ended up installing esim on 1 device and got a text saying my device should be unlocked in 24 hrs. Still waiting.
Thanks. I got 2 ticket numbers for unlocking the 2 phones from the chat agent. I didn't install the eSIM. They asked if they could text me on a number to confirm once it's done so I gave them my non-mint number and they were fine with that.

I haven't heard from anybody yet, however I noticed each phone box has 2 IMEI ID's listed on it. For those who were able to get their phone unlocked, does anyone know if they unlock both IMEI or just one?

Is there anyway to buy this as an existing customer? or you absolutely need a new account on esim without esim activation?

Nice! New Pixel 9 for $330:
Bought $30 for 3 mo promo plan from Mint on Black friday days with esim option
Once they send you eSIM it lets you create account WHILE in activation process
But do NOT activate yet but use the account created to login and order Pixel 9
Needs the link posted to arrive at $299 pixel 9 which fails to show under normal search
Once Pixel 9 comes in 2-3 days use that 3 mo prepaid promo to activate!
Next day chat with customer service and must mention international travel (I actually have)
They unlock in 48-72 hrs (awaiting but got confirmation in chat)
So I will have Pixel 9 in $299+tax + $30+tax = $329 + tax
Once done technically can rinse and repeat

Question: for those who unlocked: is the pixel 9 supporting all functions/frequencies or anything crippled compared to unlocked ones from Google for example - any difference in the device or unlockability / levels of unlocking (I recall long ago some carrier unlocked phones had more to unlock abroad etc)
Was able to replicate for the most part, thank you. The only thing is that even though I stopped after creation of my account, I still had to input my transfer details from my current provider, and Mint has "activated" my plan as of today, even though I did NOT install my eSIM.

Just click the OP link and it should show the 299 price if you are logged in. the 299 is phone only for existing customers.

Can anyone confirm that the phone will be unlocked after 60 days if the SIM is moved to another phone, or in my case, I switch to an eSIM on another phone, but the Mint service and account are kept? Not digging the phone and would like to switch back to my other before waiting out the full 60 days.

I could swear I read something about it here, but searching back through now I can't find it.

Mint Mobile is a T-Mobile subsidiary BUT unlike T-Mobile and Metro-by-T-Mobile it does NOT have the Binge-On Streaming feature of the other two services..
So, if one has the unlimited or any of the other limited Mint Mobile plans and uses streaming services the allotted data will be used up in no time as streaming video uses up very high amounts of data.
Using over 200Gb+/mo. of data if doing video streaming it not unusual.
See this:

https://www.t-mobile.com/tv-streaming/binge-on

So, the $15/mo. Mint unlimited service that's uses over the 40Gb allotted unlimited data will get de-prioritized to the very low speeds that don't work with video streaming.

In addition the $15/mo. Mint unlimited service does NOT include taxes, fees and recovery fees that bring that plan closer to $20+ monthly for these first offers.
Not to mention that this $15/mo. first year offer becomes $35+/mo. after the first year.

If one uses a lot of streaming data it's best to get the Metro-by-T-Mobile $25/mo. BYOD plan that includes all taxes and fees and has the Binge-On feature.

Again, all this depends on a person's uses and priorities of these mobile plan services.

These Mint Mobile offers are mostly of interest to those who get them for a very limited time and take the money and run, so to speak.

I've been trying to get chat to unlock 2 phones since Thursday. They opened a ticket, but still have not unlocked them, even though they said it would be done within 72 hours. Contacted them today, and they say it is taking longer because I asked for 2 phones to be done instead of 1. Not sure I buy it, but they say it's going to get done, so we'll see.

From experience? Or faith? 😇 I'd like to avoid dealing with Mint support as it's been pretty painful every time - I'd really love for you to be right, but I'm not sure how they can/will push the unlock to the phone without an active SIM? Can/do they do this through the app?

From reading the Mint policy, easiest to find out. Then reading comments from this thread and previous related threads.

Looks like Mint Mobile might have pulled the plug on the $299 phone only option. Tried all the links in this thread and no option to buy the phone for $299 without the $180 yearly plan even for existing customers.

Edit : NVM, found a different way but its getting more tedious.
