This printer has a better nozzle than the K1 and they are very easy to swap. However, they are relatively expensive since the heater is integrated.
This has the same build area but less z height (220vs something like 250)
Speed wise they are similar. This is an open frame printer so it will be noisier (fan noise) and less suitable for higher temperature materials. FF dis offer a kit and plans to make an enclosure for this printer. The kit+filament is about $70 (about 1.5kg of filament).
I have been using Octoprint to remote print/monitor my Ender currently, is that something that would still work with this one? Or is it not needed as their software is better? I honestly haven't looked in to 3D printers since I got my Ender 3, but would like something that would print faster.

So the K1 needs to be compared to the 5M Pro version. That said Flashforge's enclosure kit for this model is on sale at Amazon for $32.
While the K1 is on sale at Amazon at $353.
Note: For those that can easily swap hotends/extruder, skip this.
Inspect your new K1 to identify old-stock- older versions of the hotend and extruder. Do a Google image search of "creality k1 identify older hotend OR extruder" for visual comparisons.
There's the mature support / large following for the K1 - (Guilouz) setup scripts that simplify your way from OrcaSlicer to rooting, remote auto calibration and final print.
So, the 5m pro for 450 vs qidi q1 pro for 370?
So, the 5m pro for 450 vs qidi q1 pro for 370?
Looking at the 5m pro vs Q1, the Q1 can do higher temps over 300C vs 280 C nozzle but the 5M has filters included. The Q1 has a bit bigger build volume and has a tangle sensor. The 5M has a camera and uses build plates the same size as the Ender 3 family. That gives you lots of textured build plate options.
I personally would go with the 5M pro for $400 vs the Q1 for $370 mostly because I didn't see my self needing to print the sort of resins that will need the higher temps but I can see myself printing things like ABS that are well within the 5M's temp limits and should have filtration (or good ventilation). I also have first hand experience with the 5M non pro.

Edit: Having watched the video now, some of the 5M pro negatives have been addressed. You can print over the network from Orca slicer and the fan no longer stays on. Those were fixed with updates.
