FYI: You need to ensure Motorola receives your trade-in device within 27 days from the day you placed your order to qualify for your trade-in value and bonus. Yes, it's not based on the day you receive your trade-in box, the day you ship it, or the day you receive your new phone—it's based on the day you placed your order. They must receive it within 27 days, not just have you ship it. So, be careful.

Yup, that's me. I literally have one of the oldest Motorola phones allowed for a $1+150 trade in sitting around. It has zero value on the used market. My daily driver is a 2022 Stylus 5g which has served me well but is a little long in the tooth.

ETA: if you don't have a trade in, Walmart has 2024 Moto Play for $40, it has a $35 trade in value straight up+$150 bonus value

This is a badly worded offer. You're basically getting at least $1.00 for the trade in, plus a bonus discount of $150. They say "most phones" but they only go back to iPhone 11.

Does this phone support Verizon's UWB; Motorola website says "Verizon
Compatible | supports 5G sub6 NSA, VoLTE, WiFi Calling || 1" but my knowledge of cell band is very limited to understand that.

This deal is super tempting for me. I have a Google Pixel 7 and while the phone still functions great, my USB C port has become increasingly loose, to the point where it will disconnect from Android auto if I hit a bump and if I move the phone a little bit while it's charging, it'll just stop charging. With a trade-in, this phone would only run me $105.

Exact same situation with me and a galaxy s23. This would be cheaper than getting the phone fixed

Doesn't even list LG as a manufacturer you can use to trade in lol. I have about 4 LG phones from 2019 that are filling up drawer space.

I don't think you'll find a good glass protector for the Edge 2024's curved screen. I will say that the Supershieldz TPU protector has been working well for me, as someone who usually prefers tempered glass: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D6WKZ5HZ
You do need to follow the directions to apply it properly, though. It's not the standard two-step peel and place.

I got the Edge 2024 a few weeks ago (via the $130 Straight Talk deal) to replace my damaged Pixel 6, and as I noted in my mini-review above, apart from the screen size and refresh rate, the Edge is a significant downgrade if you're coming from a flagship phone, even an old one. Just so you know what you're getting into here.
Go for it if you need a new, unlocked device right now, but if you're willing to buy used (a mint condition Galaxy S23 FE is $200 on Swappa), get something carrier locked (the Straight Talk 60/90 day deal I got), or wait for another deal (the unlocked Pixel 7a was $220 at Best Buy last month), I'd advise you do that. Also worth noting is that both the S23 FE and 7a will get more current software updates and for longer than the Edge 2024, despite being older devices.

Yep, I ended up with that deal on a dummy line. Not sure whether I will keep or resell. But I have read that the Verizon version of this phone has problems with some Tmobile and ATT bands?

Based on your review, the only letdown is the camera. Try gcam to get better results on the main camera.

I use flagship Pixels and Samsung and don't see any significant downgrade with the Edge '24, except no Always on Display and the Ultrawide camera is subpar.

Seriously? What phones still have them? I wish they still offer them but they stopped that for about 3, 4 years ago

Yeah, that's a better deal if you don't mind the ID requirement. On this deal, trading in a Pixel 6a would get it down to $169 and a iPhone 11 makes it $99. Going through Total Wireless for me is $80 ($65 for 1 month service/$15 tax). Cancel before the second month and then at 60 days it's unlocked. So if someone is able to wait to use it with their preferred carrier, then it's the way to go. Google Voice #s work for porting as well.

Edge 2024 has underwhelming battery and heats up with basic usage. The Stylus and Power have like 2x the endurance.

No. I have both and the Stylus is better overall. Worse design wise.
My edge battery life has been awesome, way better than my Samsung s22+. And it charges very quickly
