specialized needs and uses cases are the only worthwhile justifications for such monstrosities these days. slowly but surely Apple is encroaching on space usually belonging to high end workstations. oh, and this CPU is also for those who want bragging rights and more money than sense. but even if they wanted that, they should get the 7995WX.

Would it be better to have one server with a bunch of cores to have thinclients connect to and running various servers (homeassistant, plex, unraid, minecraft, satisfactory, ect.) , or dedicated machines for each of those in a rack?

Totally abandoned by AMD. If they supported this more and it was at a more attainable price point but with the lack of support on the gen 1, this is not worth it.
