I'm a fan on the book and was annoyed by the trilogy adaptation moneygrab, so I downloaded a fan edit that pulled out the filler to make a single movie. It's excellent. Here's a run down of various fan edits [reddit.com] so you can find one that appeals to you. The post is old, so it may be difficult the find the files, but it's worth it!
